Wow, lot's of terrible songs out there! This one always made me grind my teeth and, as another poster state, want to break things:
LOVING YOU by Minnie Riperton
You can hear the melody here:
http://www.angelfire.com/ma2/Gem/lovingyou.html
(as well as read the lyrics) but I don't know why you'd really want to

I think you really had to grow up in the 70's to really know what awful was.
For example:
Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks (Funniest. Bass. Line. Ever!)
Run, Joey, run - David Geddes
Convoy - C.W. McCall
Don't Give Up on Us - David Soul
Popcorn - Hot Buttered
Muhammed Ali (Black Superman) - not sure who the singer was
Do yourself a favor...pick up almost any volume of the "Have a Nice Day" series and be thrilled with the awfulness of it all.
But for the worst...no doubt.....
King of Fuh - Brute Force
Now, if you'll excuse me, someone left the cake out in the rain....

I hate
1) Who Let The Dogs Out. This is possible the most obnoxious song ever.
2) Most of the puddle of mudd/limp bizkit/Creed group with their ballad rock garbage. Does anybody else feel like they haven't learned anything from the grunge generation except to "garble" their voices? Their rock puts me to sleep. Note I like Linkin Park a little more.
3) Tip Drill: hands down worst rap song ever.
Funny thing, I used to hate heart-shaped box by Nirvana when it came out. I would always change the channel, and hardly ever watched MTV when it was in the top 10. A few years later I bought the album, and love it now.

Any song by Missy Elliot should automatically go in this forum
And I'll cast another vote for "Who Let the Dogs Out" - the song that for some reason was at every single sports event for about a year!
