"Bennie & The Jets" was always a live version. His 1974 "Greatest Hits" album had a live version, and his album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" from '73 had a live version. I don't think there ever was a studio version of that song.

What about 'A Word In SpaNish' from Reg Strikes Back (1988)

That was one of his bIggest hits of the 80's I wonder why it wasn't it included??

According to the "Classic Albums: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" DVD, "Bennie & The Jets" is a studio recording. The audience noise was overdubbed onto the track.
