Your favorite album of 2002

What is your favorite album that has been released in 2002?

Mine is Coldplay-A Rush of Blood to the Head. I have been listening to it non-stop for like 2 months. Awesome from start to finish.

I have been listening to Tori Amos - Scarlet's Walk all day and I have to pick it as my favorite of the year so far. I can't think of anything coming out further in the year to knock it down either. This album is a truly beautiful piece of art.

David Gray, A New Day At Midnight is a very excellent followup to White Ladder.

I actually like the Seether album, i can listen to it from start to finish, good diversity in it.

Oakenfold - Bunkka
Chemical Brothers - Come With Us
System of a Down - Toxicity (was that 2001 or 2002) That was a DAMN fine album.

I thought i lot of albums were fair to good. Nothing spectacular really....but it's early once again and i'm still trying to think....

Sigur Ros - ( )
Ugly Cassanova - Sharpen Your Teeth
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot

When did Death Cab for Cutie - Photo Album come out? If it did in 2002, then that is up there as well.

I highly anticipate Godspeed You Black Emperor! - Yanqui U.X.O as well. That may clean up shop.

I don't have many to choose from, either (I'm still trying to catch up with last year's stuff and other new stuff), but as of today, it's...

1. ... Trail of Dead -- Source Tags & Codes
2. Bruce Springsteen -- The Rising
3. Wilco -- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

It could change tomorrow, but I'm leaning toward Trail of Dead just because it took me by surprise. Would never have checked it out without the encouragement of some of you here...

By far, "The Cure for Bad Deeds" by Martina Sorbara. Amazing album.

Behind it would be the Norah Jones album and "Bramble Rose" by Tift Merritt.

One of the best rock albums of the year, by far!

I couldn't decide on just one either, so several tied:

Source Tags & Codes (mentioned above)

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head

Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales (actually wasn't this released a year or two ago? oh well, it's a lounge album)

Doves - The Last Broadcast (probably my favorite of the year)

...that's all I can think of for now.
