On the Driving USA tour (spring 2002) and the current tour (Back in the US) he has a circus act opening for him, a la Cirque de Soileil (sp?)
Are you going to see him, soon? If so, you're in for a treat. It is supposed to be one of the best concerts to come around in quite some time. I'm goin on Wenesday.

I'm going Wednesday as well........so obviously the reason I asked is because the Cards game starts at 7:20 p.m. and I want to know how much time I have before McCartney comes out.
His show begins at 8 p.m. (the circus thingy i guess)

As for an opener. He had an opening act waaaaaaaaay back in '76 on the Wings Over America tour. I can't remember what the name was ( I was only a wee lad back then ). My brother went to the show in Philedelphia in '76, so I'll ask him.
In 1989 and 1993 he had two different films that were directed by Richard Lester as the show "opener".

On Sat. the show was supposed to start at 8:00, the Cirque de Solei folks came out about 8:15-8:20 and Paul appeared maybe 15 minutes later, so be at your seat by 8:30. The show runs a full 3 hours, BTW.

I saw this show in April in Chicago and again this past weekend In Indy. Absolutely the best concert I have ever been to and I've been going since the 70's.
I actually enjoyed the circus portion and the anticipation that it builds. It also is a reminder of the creative artistry of The Beatles aside from their music. It's part of the show not actually a preshow. I think you should get in your seat by 8:00 and catch it.
