Weezer on Letterman...
I'm somewhat of a Weezer fan and watched their performance of their new single "Keep Fishin'" on David Letterman tonight.
I had heard that they weren't very good live and i was shocked by the remarkable truth of this idea. The guitars sounded sloppy and not together and I'm pretty sure the drums were off for most of the second verse. Very disappointing.

their guitars were tuned badly. why? because the people on the letterman show are control freaks and have to do it all themselves. where did i get this info? www.weezer.com their official webpage.

Actually they don't touch the instruments at all. Even if they did they certainly would not tune guitars badly.
Weezers road crew would set everything up. I have played on the Letterman show and the show crew does not get involved with the band at all.
It is simply because Weezer doesn't really care what they sound like...I have seen them live a few times and they generally suck live...sloppy playing and just a general "i don't care" attitude about playing live.

plus off topic, (well sort of) a local radio contest is going on where you can have a chance to play foosball with weezer backstage before the concert. so maybe, they do care about the fans in someway.

I don't know if it's nerves or what, but everytime I've seen Weezer on TV, they suck balls...
every time I see them live in concert though, they blow the ****ing roof off...no, really... they kick ass live... i don't know why they've gotten such a bad rap... I've seen A LOT of concerts and Weezer ranks near the top (i saw them just a few weeks ago and it was wicked...)
don't let letterman be your lithmus test for this band...a bad representation...

back in '95, they were on dave the night before i was seeing them, and they sucked balls, then their show was amazing....

I saw them live recently, all i heard is how bad its going to suck. But when they came on all was good, they played a very solid and very long set. Im not a big fan of weezer either, i bought the tickets to take my SO.
