Who's Buying What? (7/16/02)

I think that I am going to have to pick up DMB 'Busted Stuff', Flaming Lips "Yoshimi....', The Vines, & Space Monkeys v. Gorillaz 'Laika Come Home'.

How's that for eclectic?

I picked up the 2 CD reissue of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the newish Pixies release, which I hadn't even heard about until I was tipped off by the new release thread. 18 minutes of Pixies goodness for only $10.

I also picked up Echo and the Bunnymen - Evergreen, but it's five years old and used, so it hardly counts.

Record and Tape Traders is an awesome store! My favorite, being from Reisterstown as well. That's where I do all my shopping when I come home.

Anyway, I picked up DMB 'Busted Stuff' as well. I wish I could've picked it up at Record and Tape Traders, though.

You can get a taste of home. The same people that own Soundgarden in Fells Point, own one in Syracuse.

Ended up buying:

Flaming Lips "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots"
The Vines "Highly Evolved" (I know these guys have taken a good bit of sh*t before their album was even released, but I like this disc...way more than the Strokes or the White Stripes for what it's worth)
Marah "Float Away with the Friday Night Gods" (I loved their last album where they perfected a sort of Pogues meet Springsteen sound. Now they want to be Oasis. Not a change for the better.)

My second favorite CD store ever. That's basically where I spend all my money at school.
