P-Diddy remixing Stairway to Heaven?

I just heard a blurb about this on the local radio station.. Started looking for more info, and came across the lyrics.. Can you believe this- Stairway to HARLEM?!

P-Diddy Featuring Black Rob, G Dep and Mary J Blige

(repeat 2x) This...is....the remix, make em dance to it

Puffy verse:
Lets go! There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to harlem
And when she gets there the stores are closed
Them Harlem streets is cold.
Hop out the Bentley, got all you cats payin label fee's
Everybody know P-diddy runnin through NY city
I got a masters degree in game-ology,
went triple plat with Big's song victory.
Harlem from 125th to 136th its all about bad boy makin hits,
make em dance ta this!

Mary J Blige:
Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she's buying a stairway to harlem (Repeat 2x)

Black Rob Verse:
Its the Mr Whoa man
Bad Boy in 02 got big plans,
millions of fans sayin, WHOA
All you haters sayin when will Bad Boy end?
who knows but I got ya chick naked in my den.
Black Rob poppin bootles, while models
doin the harlem shake at the Apollo

Mary J Blige: Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she's buying a stairway to harlem (Repeat 4x)

G Dep:
Pull up in the grey S Six Hundred
Gettin head and I didnt even want it
Harlem Niggas make ya girl shake her ****,
While I make special delievery hits
its all about the chips and the cash
Fast hoes with big ass,
They dont need alot of class for me to put them on smash.
Harlem girls is how I like them,
Like B.I.G said "dont forget to bring a friend"
Put them in new positions and make their pussies bend, Tend not to like em,
I'm quick ta bust in em faster then lighting, bad boy makin more money is frightenin

Mary J Blige :Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she's buying a stairway to harlem

Puffy talking:
HARLEM Baby, Bad Boy, I thought I told you we wont stop!.

it doesn't bother me that puff daddy has no talent

I blame Sting just as much as P Diddy for that.

I hope Zeppelin sues "Diddy"'s ass and wins. The man just went below zero on my talent-o-meter.

This would be about as bad as, say, Britney Spears covering "Satisfaction." Oh, wait...

I'm not quite sure what the law says but I think you're allowed to do this as long as the song is "public domain". Second, IIRC, when he did that awful ripoff of "Kashmir" back in 98 he had either Page or Plant's blessing(One of them even performed with him on SNL doing the song). They're as much to blame as that not talent scrub.

I couldn't agree more...however I'm of the belief that Puffy had an active role in the B.I.G slaying

Nothing has gone into public domain since about 1957. I think "The Jungle Book" was one of the last things to pass into public domain, and Disney promptly snapped it up and made a movie out of it. The last copyright law passed actually removed things from public domain.

Currently, it's 75 years plus the life of the author. So, anything published in your lifetime will not go into public domain while you're still alive.

Is this for real? I searched Google for "stairway to harlem" and didn't get a single hit.

Really? That's interesting I've never heard that theory before. Care to share some more light on why you think so? I thought P.Diddy LOVED the Bigster!
