I guess I can take the fact that this is one of my favorite albums to mean that you are barely tolerating it, or got it for free, or used to like them a lot, or heard good things about them/decided to check them out/are regretting that decision.

I listened to "Take Me Home: A Tribute to John Denver" in the car this afternoon, and I listened to the new Mates of State cd ("Our Constant Concern") while I was waking up this morning.

Close. My best friend at work Joe lent it to me today. I like it quite a bit, although right now all the songs blend together, but I'm told that disappears with repeated listenings.

I really don't like that John Denver tribute. I think I sold it. I didn't give it much of a chance though.

The Trail of Dead is incredible. Oliver told me where to find it. It's on an FTP server out there.

How is that Mum album? Is that the new one?

Yeah, I think it's their most recent release. I currently have a burned copy from a friend due to the fact that it is (I think) still only available as an import. I enjoy it...sounds a little like To Rococo Rot or Bjork's "Vespertine" at times. I know almost nothing about electronic music, but I do enjoy this.

John Williams: American Journey, which contains the newest theme for the 2002 Olympics. A very good addition to his canon of past Olympic music, but I'm still partial to the 1984 version. A lot of terrific music on this album overall, particularly the title piece, which is actually broken down into several segments. It was better known as "The Unfinished Journey" that he conducted for the millenium celebration in 2000.
