WinMX question.
why do i drop in the remote queue? i entered the remote queue and i was listed as remotely queued 1, but then i went back to check a few minutes later and i had dropped to number 2. what's up with that? it seems to happen to me a lot.

Thought I'd bring this back to the top rather than start a new thread.
I just installed and started using WinMX. Nice set-up I must say!!
I'm trying to DL two songs and here are the messages I am getting:
Times Out (Waiting for server response...)
Remotely queued 1
I right click and hit "retry" and it eventually goes back to the same message
What is the "auto-retry" option?
Nobody was on the list to DL these songs as far as I know.
Any ideas? tips?
Thanks!

Ok, "the timed out" message, is usually because the server cannot connect you to the other person, for whatever reason. Firewall issues, AV programs, etc. It happens occasionally.
As for the remote queue. It could be for 2 reasons.
1)You can change some settings in the Queuing on the transfer page. You may only be allowed "1" at a time until you change some things.
2)you must realize, lots of people look over the servers...and you can "trade". Some people may force start another's transfer before yours, if someone else does it for them. Therefore you will drop down the list a little.

What about this......
when I click on "servers", there are like 3 groups of something there:
<WinMx Peer Networking Protocol>
Last Peer Cache> greatwhitenorth.frontcode.com:7719 (last reply ok)
3 Remote Connections
0 Command Connections
0 Client Connections
OpenNap Prorocol High Capacity Networks
OpenNap Prorocol High Capacity Networks
All three have things that pop up to the right of them.
Is this normal? I do remember when I DL'ed the program it said something about waiting for something to turn "green" before DL'ing
Thanks again!

On mine, I get those 3 things at first
and then I get this
Peer Redirect > greatwhitenorht.frontcode.com: buncha #s : Waiting for Reply...
Then it turns into
Peer Redirect > greatwhitenorht.frontcode.com: buncha #s :READY
and it turns green
and then I get this
Peer Redirect > greatwhitenorht.frontcode.com: buncha #s : Waiting for Reply...

and it turns green
