~~A Perfect TOOL??
What are everyone's thoughts on the Maynard going back-and-forth between TOOL and A Perfect Circle??
Thoughts on A Perfect Circle?
Will they do another album with Maynard after Tool wraps up their Lateralus tour(s)?
I personally have seen APC three times and I love em.
But....Tool is "thee" best. Period.

I love both groups. A Perfect Circle's debut album was excellent and Tool is Tool, enough said. I hope A Perfect Circle is not a side project and that the band will release another album. It would be nice if Tool and A Perfect Circle alternates their release year so every year, we could get one new album from either one. I mean for example, APC's album in 2000, Tool in 2001, APC in 2002, Tool in 2003, etc.

I love how Maynard is pulling double time with regards to music....it just means more for me
Of course I love Tool more than APC, but hope they can co-exsist for a long time, because APC is an awesome band in my opinion. I think that Mer de Noms was an amazing first effort from a new band, and can only get better with time. Billy is writing new music as we speak, and cant wait for their new CD (rumored to be out next year).

I love them both too. Amazingly, however, I think I've listened to the APC more times than any Tool album. The cd is simply beautiful...I don't think it'll ever get old. I hope for another release.

Mr. Self Destruct, I'm the same way on listening to Mer de Noms.
I think it's because it's shorter and more of a regular album.....just songs.
Tool is more of an experience in my opinion and you can't just put a Tool album on............you have to go start-to-end baby.

Like how basically everyone else feels, Tool is definitely the better group, but I too love APC's first album - and yes, they are currently working on the next one.
I just hope we don't have another 5 year wait for the next Tool album.

Count me in as the first dissenter. I could never get into APC, even after seeing them open for NIN. To me they come across as just another band that happens to have Maynard as a singer (which does make them better than 90% of the bands out there, but still).

Tool is the Bomb..nuff said. I have the APC and all Tool cds (except the EP). Ive seen APC and will be seeing Tool the first time on 11/2. I cant wait. Maynard is a vocal god. I love the Deftones song Passenger; it adds so much to the song with Maynard on vocals as well.

I got into Tool through APC. I saw tool live twice in the past week and it was incredible. I think they are unfairly regarded as 'metal' which can be alienating to some people before they even give them a chance.

Anyway, supposedly bands like Rush and Dream Theater are musicians' bands, and I've been big fans of both for years.
