Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) became Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey after like a week.

All the social media marketing for this movie has been completely revamped for The New Avengers.
I'm curious when this gets released on physical media in like 3 or 4 months if they will have a removable cover/label to change the name.
(and I just noticed Rocshemp and cultshock brought up the same question as me.
)
I have seen comments from many who are mad about the name change since it's technically a spoiler and they haven't seen the movie yet.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was retitled "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" when it got released on home video. That titled has stayed until now. I think it was last called "Raiders of the Lost Ark" on some early VHS tapes.

Yep. Well kind of. My daughter and I both caught that and were wondering where they played the theme song.....until rocket showed up. Ah that's where it is. So in there but we didn't make the connection until after the scene.

I agree it is a really odd choice. Especially since it was kind of anticlimactic even in the movie itself. I personally thought that the team had really kind of earned the name Thunderbolts and I absolutely loved the origin of that name too. It was endearing and hilarious so I fully expected Yelena to correct deFontaine and tell her their name was the Thunderbolts. It does absolutely nothing for me to call them the New Avengers. It's almost meta, like DeFontaine is exactly like Disney and even though we've already fallen in love with the Thunderbolts Disney execs are saying, no...no...no...you love the Avengers. So these guys are the New Avengers...completely ignoring the fact that fans don't care.

I liked this one a lot. Definitely moreso than almost any other Marvel movie output since Endgame. I appreciated that it wasn't world ending, multiverse bring-in-random-cameos, or just a green-screen mess. The comedy hit pretty well, and wasn't used too overbearingly. Ghost was always one of my favorite characters, and I was beginning to think she was going to be completely forgotten about, so it was great to see her again. Russel's character grew on me a lot more than he did in any other project.

HAHAHA I love this. The "New Avengers" stuff is fun. Anything to get people talking about the movie is a good thing.

I used A-List to reserve a slot to see the movie again tomorrow in IMAX tomorrow so I can get the free poster. Might not stay the entire time. It's an IMAX 3D showing, but it was the best time that worked for me and I really don't like 3D.

I saw the 3D stuff in the credits for this and I was truly amazed anyone is still producing movies in 3D.

I've gone on record that I was underwhelmed by the original Avatar's 3D and I've never seen anything that justified the nonsense of wearing special glasses during a movie.
I just literally thought it was done - they don't do 3D screenings at the Alamo here anymore so I never see them advertised. Truly surprised it was still a thing.

Yeah, I've rarely seen any 3D movies that made the PITA of wearing the glasses remotely worth it. After my son was old enough to watch movies in a theater, we've never watched 3D showings because it gives him a headache. I don't think we've missed a whole hell of a lot, since most films seem to be crappy 3D conversions anyway. It lasted a lot longer than the 3D fads of the 1950s and 80s but I think this phase of the fad is close to being on it's way out, no matter if Cameron thinks otherwise.

I like 3D and thought this one was worthwhile. Granted, many have not been. It is the little shots that make it work. I saw something in this one that I don’t recall having seen before: a shot down a hallway with a solid wall at the front of the picture. Little touches.
Cant go tomorrow night, but AMC screwed me on the Captain America posters, so I’ll try to go a night or two later.
As for this beef, I heard next year’s SuperBowl halftime show is going to be a diss track performance by Red Guardian.
I was cynical, but I hope they make this kayfabe good. So far it is intriguing.

But that's the problem now is that everything is a crappy 3D conversion. The second Avatar movie did look great in 3D so the tech is still there and still impressive. Just not when it's a conversion. And they STILL don't adjust for brightness for most 3D movies. If they actually did I think more people would enjoy it.

Was thinking about seeing this tomorrow. For those that have seen it, any opinions between seeing it in 2D IMAX vs 3D IMAX?

I thought that this was certainly one of the better MCU entries in recent memory, but I think this franchise has passed me by at this point. I'm just not sure what else I'm supposed to get out of this world. We've kind of seen it all, haven't we? I mean besides all the characters that I know from other things that haven't shown up in the MCU yet.
Speaking of which, i don't really get the overwhelming excitement for the post credit sequence:
