I also enjoy that movie. I like the younger and older casts mixing and it just continues in that film.

The Shadow, S: Alec Baldwin. It was a critical and financial flop. The movie absolutely nails the look and feel of 1930s pulp stories, but evidently that isn't what people want. I prefer The Shadow to the more popular Rocketeer. Rocketeer is based on a comic which was a 1980s nostalgic take on the 1930s pulps.
I have that on Blu-ray and it was fun though kind of cheesy and maybe unintentionally funny with Baldwin's voice for the Shadow.
Penelope Ann Miller was awful in that however.

Iron Man 2 is not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. I am glad though that over the years it seems like Iron Man 3 has garnered a worse rap than 2. When it first came out it seemed like the consensus was that IM3 > IM2. But now it seems to be reversed.

I love Iron Man 2. It’s got a real madcap energy. Love the suitcase suit, the palladium discovery/creation scenes, Mickey Rourke’s bird, the hearing scene, Sam Rockwell, War Machine and the introduction of Black Widow. I love IM3 too but I’ve never thought IM2 was a lesser film.

Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. I think too many people misinterpreted QT's "this has to be my worst movie" comment as meaning even he dislikes it. Instead, I think he was referring to the fact that a lot of his critically acclaimed films are inspired by B-movies, this had to be his B-movie that gets treated like a B-movie. But he still loves it.

I hadn’t seen Death Proof since its dvd release up until a few months ago and was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Would easily put it ahead of Hateful 8 and possibly even Inglorious Basterds which I know I’m in the minority in thinking anything not involving the Basterds or Hans Landa is a total bore. That probably only accounts for 10-20% of the film but that’s a lot of fat for a Tarantino pic especially when the other 80-90% isn’t close to my favorite stuff from him.

I am currently watching The Bourne Legacy. I fucking love this movie. It's one of my favorites to just put on in the background.
Renner and Weisz are great, it's got some fantastic scenes like the lab attack and the chase through the city. Running alongside Ultimatum and tying into it is a cool idea. It's just a fun movie.

I recall Vantage Point getting kind of a bad rap, but I think it’s a fun — if very shallow — thriller with a sprinkle of Rashomon for good measure.

After seeing it again, yes, the writing stunk, but I like the action in the extended cut of Daredevil. I think it’s pretty decent pic that gets picked on.

Re: Movies that get a bad rap?
I'd say Affleck didn't really look the part of a lithe street gymnast who could do acrobatic flips which is a big issue. There's a scene where they try to show off Daredevil's gymnastic abilities and even with special effects doesn't quite look natural with Affleck doing them.
Superheroes arise from a visual medium, which Hollywood repeatedly doesn't get. 80% of a superhero's popularity is thanks to the character design and costume. Affleck was better cast as an older and heavier Batman.

People bash the ending and Spielberg taking it over from Kubrick but it was still a entertaining film.

Of these I really like AI and Death Proof.
For me it's Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell. It's so stupid in a way that rarely gets made. I loves it.

Yep. It’s a good movie. The character designs for the advanced Mecha at the end was a big problem, considered half the viewers thought they were aliens at the end.

I'm pretty sure I thought they were aliens back in 2001. I saw it twice in theatres, astounded by the movie, but it is one of those that I found so emotionally painful it would take unique circumstances for me to revisit it a third time.

I will forever defend Bicentennial Man. I've probably defended it on this forum. It's probably more forgotten than hated but most people know it as that Robin Williams robot movie. In a bad way. But I love it. I absolutely love movies that take place over a very long period of time. Seeing people grow up, old and pass on generation after generation. I also really love the scene where he projects the father and daughter dancing at her wedding and her father get's too emotional to watch any more. It's an absolutely beautiful scene driven home with James Horner's incredible score.
A really terrible quality video of the scene:

My main problem with the movie were the characters. The teddy had more character debth than all the others combined.
