Re: RIP: Ray Stevenson (The Punisher)

Rome has been on the short list for a re-watch for a while so that might get bumped up. I did just watch the S1E11 Gladiator scene on youtube. Truthfully, while I remembered the scene I didn't at all remember the context.

As for Dexter, I thought seasons 6 & 8 of Dexter were basically hot garbage, but 7 is watchable, and it's primarily because of Stevenson (and Strahovski).

If you thought he was fun in Thor, multiple that by a hundred times and a 1000 times for badassery in Rome.

I recently rewatched Rome about a year ago and it was such a phenomenal series. Such a shame HBO cut it short. One of the few series I have watched multiple times. It is on par with Band Of Brothers in quality.

The relationship between Pullo & Vorenus is possibly one of, if not the greatest portrayal of male friendship ever depicted on a television show. It is full of complexity, humor, warmth, conflict, loyalty, and too many other descriptions to name. And the two actors masterfully embody these characters without over exaggeration throughout. Love that show and their characters.

Wanted to watch ROME for years but never got around to it. Loved him in the Thor movies.

RIP

Had no idea he was in RRR

Maybe another reason I should find time to watch that movie.

Watching War Zone again. What a gloriously gory and fun movie. Too bad. RIP.
