Got a backers email today. Included with other info is a link for those that didn't pay for the blu-ray tier. You can order the blu-ray. It ships in early August.

The Blu-ray for this is shipping now. I preordered it and received it on Tuesday. I wasn't a Kickstarter backer.

Looks like they only made 2500 copies of the Blu-ray. If you want one, better get it now. https://shop.filmthreat.com/products...dition-blu-ray |

I got the blu-ray right when I posted the link back in July even though I had access to the doc. One never knows how long it would be available plus all the extras.

Every time someone mentions Tubi, I think "didn't that die?" Then I realise I'm mixing it up with Quibi.

Re: Attack of the Doc! G4/Attack of the Show documentary April 24, 2023
Watched this last night. I thought there was too much focus on the skits (I never even noticed they did that many) and I'm surprised there was no mention of Ninja Warrior. Granted, the original show may have already been appearing on G4 before I saw Zach try the course while in Japan for an AOTS episode---Which was my very first exposure to Ninja Warrior. I was completely clueless about all the Jim Cameron appearances too. I guess I had tuned out by that point.
This did bring back quite a bit of memories though. I still remember that first Comic-Con episode very well. |
Re: Attack of the Doc! G4/Attack of the Show documentary April 24, 2023
SDCC really dropped the ball on the first AOTS show. They put them in one of the smaller rooms. I knew better and had to sit through 2 or 3 panels I had no interest in, trying to secure a good seat. I heard there was a massive line outside the room of people showing up just before the panel started. Rookie move. SDCC realized their mistake and booked them into a larger room the following year.

Wow. I don't remember half the stuff they are showing, but it does bring back how much fun G4 once was.

Re: Attack of the Doc! G4/Attack of the Show documentary April 24, 2023
Question for those who bought the Blu-Ray: what are the 25+ hours of bonus content? I saw on the Film Threat site that there are supposed to be deleted scenes, but are they just more skits? As for the extended interviews, is it more discussions with the production staff and do they actually get to appear on camera in the bonus features?

Re: Attack of the Doc! G4/Attack of the Show documentary April 24, 2023
I haven't done a deep dive yet. And I don't add up the runtime of extras so no idea if it equals 25 hours. Those numbers are always inflated. Unless you go through the photo gallery VERY slowly.
And speaking of AOTS, I posted this about Olivia in the appreciation thread and got zero response. https://forum.dvdtalk.com/tv-talk/44...l#post14399829 |
Re: Attack of the Doc! G4/Attack of the Show documentary April 24, 2023
I think when they make the claim of 25 hours of extras it usually added up to that number when you include multiple commentaries.
