and the 2021 Oscars was the lowest viewed show ever with 10M viewers.

Last year's had 16M+ viewers.

I haven’t watched in a while, but if I can find a way how, do they still show best supporting actor pretty early on?

Yes. The Supporting Actor should be the very first award given out, right off the bat.

They alternate. Supporting Actor presents Supporting Actress and vice versa.

I saw something on the twitters (posted by Variety) that showed a printed schedule with Animated Feature Film as the first award for the night.
