he was plowing or something because of all the snow where he is.
this would suck...

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable”.

I heard about this. I wonder what kind of “weather-related” accident it could be? Flipped over an ATV while plowing snow? Stuck his hand in a running snowblower? Slipped and fell?

I hope he’s ok. I’ve enjoyed him in pretty much everything I’ve seen him in.

Hope me makes a quick recovery. For some reason this made me think of Anton Yelchin. What a way to go...

The mind really goes places when hearing critical condition and snowplowing accident. My guess is dumping an ATV, but who knows.

Renner always does a good job in his movies, and he seems like a great guy in his interviews.

The update from the police called it a "traumatic injury".

re: The Official Jeremy Renner Thread

This could potentially be the type of plow Renner was dealing with. Not exactly the little snow blowers we’re all used to dealing with.

I have a friend that escaped a snowblower incident with only a lost fingertip so there's hope. I know folks think Renner is weird but Hawkeye is a longtime favorite character of mine.

What awful news. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Per TMZ:

Eyewitnesses tell us Jeremy was plowing the road about a quarter mile from his Tahoe home so his family could get out after a massive New Year's eve storm.

According to a neighbor, the plowing machine -- called a Snowcat -- accidentally ran over one of Jeremy's legs, and he was losing a lot of blood from the injury. We're told another neighbor, who's a doctor, was able to put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived.

We're told the area was treated like an active crime scene ... with police arriving at 8 PM to impound the Snowcat, which Jeremy's previously posted video of himself using on his property after snowstorms. The issue, we're told, is the machine has extensive safety features, and should not have rolled over Jeremy.

A source close to Jeremy tells us his injuries are "extensive" -- along with his leg, other parts of his body have been injured.

Oh, yeah, the earlier pic of the snowcat can give you an idea of what could go wrong. Wow.

maybe working on a sled hill for the kids wasn't the best idea if this was his last message

Hoping we don’t get the thread-title update we often see. :(

Jesus! That’s terrible. Hopefully they can save his leg.

If he was using the Snowcat to make a sledding hill for his kids he could have that thing at all types of angles/slopes it wasn’t intended for.

Why were the safety features only made to prevent it from rolling over him? What about other people?

... other parts of his body ...
-eek-

That thing looks like it would be really hard to flip or roll unless you were doing something Jackass-y with it, or if it was really snowy and you went up an incline that was steeper than it appeared to be or hit something under the snow.

Did it flip though? The article says it accidentally ran him over. Was he out of it trying to do something and maybe it went into gear unexpectedly somehow? Hopefully he pulls through without too many major injuries.

Supposedly there are safety measures in place to prevent whatever happened from happening. Do plows have kill switches? Was it disabled by user?

The TMZ article specifically mentions that the Snowcat has safety features to prevent it from "rolling over Jeremy."

I took "roll over" to mean that it either flipped on its side or went arse-over-tit. Though the writer could have meant "run him over," but usually when I hear "roll" in an accident it means the vehicle turned over.

I read “rolled over his leg” as the damn thing drove over him. Judging by the tank treads on that snowcat in those pictures, if it rolled over his leg, it did some serious damage!

If it were the way you say, I think the writer would have said rolled onto Jeremy or flipped onto Jeremy. It sounded to me like it was in gear somehow or otherwise moved and went over his leg.

My guess is he got out to do something and it rolled over his leg. Simpler is probably closer to the truth.

Hope he pulls through without lasting damage. He’s always fun to watch onscreen.
