I mean it looks like a straight to streaming/home media low budget slasher. It’s about what I’d expect.

Re: Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

I was expecting a cheesy horror movie with a Winnie the Pooh theme, that's what the trailer delivered, not sure you can really expect more from it

It looks like a parody trailer you might see on Saturday Night Live.

Looks like it would be a straight to Tubi release. I'd get stoned and watch it!

I mean I'm kind of surprised anyone with money attempted/financed this. "What if a children's story but... TWISTED?" has been played out for several decades and every time it's tried, it reeks of edge-lord, adolescent, try-hard-ism.

At first I thought this had already been released but I was thinking of that damn Banana Splits movie.

It feels like nothing more that scouring the Public Domain to find a recognizable entity they can mooch off of instead of coming up with their own ideas.

”Hey guys look, it’s Pooh and Piglet but they’re killing people! See, those characters are named Christopher and Robin. Get it?! Just like in Winnie the Pooh! See how clever we are?”

Re: Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

I would have preferred Pooh going on a murder spree because he ate too much mad honey and Piglet has to stop his rampage.

Re: Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

Why is Pooh wearing overalls? Has growing up transformed into an American hillbilly? He was rather posh.

Piglet looks great. He grew up into a boar. But how did they take this:

Plus this:

To get that stupid flat-face rubber mask that looks like it cost $10 from the Halloween Store?

Is it actually supposed to be Winnie the Pooh, or just some serial killer wearing a cheap rubber Winnie the Pooh mask?

Anyone seeing this in theaters? It's supposed to be extended for an extra week after showings tonight.

Re: Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

I read that this only cost $100k to make, so like Terrifier 2 last year this looks like it's going to be pretty profitable. Apparently the director is planning a whole cinematic universe using public domain storybook characters.

Re: Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey

I think the Wizard of Oz characters are in public domain. I have to admit, A Wizard of Oz horror movie would be pretty sweet to see.

Looks like the public domain horrorverse next projects are around Peter Pan and Bambi.
