I've been sticking with Moviedle, but I'm thinking of finally dropping it. It's so quick that it's more a test of the eyes than movie recognition. Sometimes it takes a couple looks before I can make out any images.

A different frame 1 and it probably would've taken me until 5 or 6. But as it was:

the words "speech defects" (in an older looking doorbell) was a huge clue for me. Only one movie came to mind when thinking about a period piece about a speech defect, and it was the right answer.

I rewatched this recently and remembered the movie marquee. If it wasn't for that, I would've gotten it on #3 (which is the kind of obvious image, actually showing Mogwai, that I would've expected for #6).

I should have remembered in Frame 1. Marquee was very familiar (and intentional). Haven't seen this movie in a long time though.
