I want to see Dora get mouth fucked by a facehugger, not that guy.

That looked pretty good.
Over a $100 million or Under a $100 million box office?
I would say Under maybe $70 mill tops USA..

It looks great, I just don't get the low budget feel - not really a fan of that but other than that.....can't wait to see it.

I am at the point in my life where I find films with a young cast annoying. Mostly because I find young people annoying, but I liked the cast of Alvarez's Evil Dead so I am a bit optimistic.

I mean, I can understand how he feels. Although I'd rather be the facehugger in that scenario, and no one would be invited to watch.
EDIT: Just watched the trailer. It looks good. And I like the unpolished look, reminiscent of the aesthetics of the first movie, with its space truckers vibe to the ship and crew. I was afraid this would have a slick YA feel, given the youth of the cast. I should've known better, with Fede Álvarez at the helm.

I think it has a lot of Alien 3's aesthetic. The final shot is definitely Alien 3 inspired.

Romulus looks like a bottle show whereas Prometheus and Covenant had open worlds. While it's not apples to oranges, it is like tangerines to pomelos. This should be compared to Alien or Aliens because that's the timeline with which it reportedly falls.

I mean, I don't know what you want to hear, it just looks low budget regardless of where or when it takes place.
Also, I'm not equating low budget with "bad" because it still looks like a great movie.

Umm . . . I don't think you said what you thought you said.
Easy UNDER given the state of cinema.
I will be there opening week, but I am not excited by this at all. Each trailer has made me less and less excited. I suppose it will be interesting to see somebody give us a true horror genre take, but the ninja facehuggers just have me disgusted. While I may not go as far as Rival and say "low budget" you can tell the look is very much the look of every film this director has already done.

I'm definitely warming up to this, and August sounds like a great time to release it. On premium screens too, which is almost a must for films imo.

I'm all for watching movies on VHS if they haven't even gotten a dvd release but this whole idea that VHS is making a comeback when it's a dated format compared to the technology of today is laughable. Nostalgia can only go so far.
