Charles Grodin dead at 86
RIP
I was a fan of some of the movies he made in the 1980s.
If you can't read the NY Times link, he died of Bone Marrow cancer

Oh that's so sad. I was just thinking about Midnight Run today and recently rewatched So I Married An Axe Murderer, which he has a fun cameo role in. He was always so great.

When I started to think of his roles, I immediately went back to Seems Like Old Times. He was a talented actor who will be missed.

Early memories of him in Seems Like Old Times and The Great Muppet Caper from the '80s.

So many great comic roles. I'll toss a shout-out to his role in Real Life.
I remember flipping through the channels many years ago and stumbling across his talk show. I thought how great, this should be really funny. Yeah, not that kind of talk show. I'm sure it was fine for what it was but not what I was expecting from a Charles Grodin talk show.

Damn, that’s sad. He was one of the greats!
I loved him in the already mentioned Seems like Old Times and Midnight Run.
I also enjoyed his small role in Dave and his fun cameo in So I Married an Axe Murderer.

Midnight Run stays in my heart as one of the best movies of the 80's.
His numerous wonderful appearances on Johnny Carson can be found on YouTube.

Did anyone see Last Resort from 1986? I guess it’s an 80s sex comedy with Grodin. It’s got horrible ratings. Just curious if it’s that bad. I never saw it.
I see you can watch it for free on Tubi or Pluto.

Was recently recommended one of his interviews with Carson and have watched a bunch of those with Carson and Letterman the last couple of weeks. Hilarious stuff.

I was sad when I saw CNN alert. I was sadder when no one I work with, all 3 of them, one just a little younger, didn’t know who he was.

I loved him in that Jim Belushi movie, Taking Care of Business, I think. Saw in theaters. Left good impression. Haven’t seen it since.
