Which actors just epitomize coolness and gravitas?
prompted by the passing of Sir Sean Connery (RIP), i was wondering which actors you felt just epitomize this air of coolness and gravitas to almost every role they play. perhaps just an actor that is always or frequently badass. doesn't have to be based on looks alone. just how they portray and carry themselves in roles.

Hmm, agree with all except for Olyphant, who to me exudes arrogance and obnoxiousness. Even when he's supposed to be playing the good guy, it seems to me like he's just faking it and any scene he'll throw off the cloak and reveal himself as the secret villain.

Hmm. Certainly didn't expect to click on this thread and see Gina Carano and William Peterson amongst the first half dozen names.
The answers, by the way, are Clint Eastwood, Alain Delon and Samuel L. Jackson when he's not in Star Wars or Marvel movie. And for the ladies, it's Charlize Theron.

Petersen's Will Graham in Manhunter is one of the coolest characters ever IMO

While I wouldn't call him necessarily a "tough guy", James Garner had effortless charisma.

i know people have mentioned Clint Eastwood, but without a pic of his iconic squinty eyes in EVERY one of his westerns doesn't do this thread justice...
