I want to see it, but not because I think it’ll necessarily be better. For me it’s more about curiosity of the film-making process, analyzing the differences and why they were made from a storytelling POV. The best comparison I can think of is when I wanted to read Go Set a Watchman to try to see how To Kill a Mockingbird evolved from that.

If this rumor is real, I hope WB releases the unfinished version with unfinished special effects, music, audio and such. Just to give the middle finger to all those annoying Release the Snyder Cut people.

I mean really depending on how much work there is to do now would be a pretty ideal time to get it out. HBO Max launches soon and there’s not a lot of new content in general.

Hummmm, could be we might see this after all:
https://www.cbr.com/justice-leagues-snyder-cut-hbo-max/
https://www.cbr.com/justice-leagues-snyder-cut-hbo-max/
"The product is unfinished and would cost $20 million and additional filming to complete."
I could maybe see WB putting in money to finish the edit, even finishing certain effects, at the moment. All productions are halted, but editing and VFX is something that could largely be done while people work from home. I don't know the math well enough to know if investing $20 million would be worth it, but it's at least doable.
However, there's no way they can do additional filming at the moment.
Maybe they'll release it in its unfinished state, with appropriate disclaimers. If it's just another viewing option on HBOMax, the fact that it's unfinished isn't as big a hurdle as if they tried to sell it on its own on home video.

A good film study opportunity is watching The Exorcist: Dominion and The Exorcist: The Beginning. Two completely different films made with the same actors and different directors. It’s extremely interesting to analyze both movies to see the differences. One plays like a psychological thriller the other plays like a action/horror.

This is the part I don't find believable from that article:

I'm also not sure why they would even want to sink $20M into the project when it already lost them a ton of money. There will be no theatrical run, and it's not going to shift two million units on home video. And, on top of that, the DCEU that Justice League was supposed to set up is now dead in the water, so they would just be beating a dead horse.
The only way I really see this happening is if there's a ton of unused footage that Snyder shot; and it would have to significantly change the plot (as in, Darkseid, showing more the Knightmare stuff introduced in BvS-DoJ, etc.), and not just add in a few deleted scenes of fights or people talking in conference rooms.
Just from the trailers, we know that there's probably a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the final film, so there might actually be enough out there to do a full Snyder cut.

Green Lantern was also supposed to make an appearance. There's that scene in the first trailer where Alfred tells him that he hopes he's not too late. People always thought that he was talking to Superman, but it was supposed to be GL. Now, I don't remember if it was supposed to be a recast GL or if it was actually Ryan Reynolds reprising the role.

Apparently Snyder, his wife and also Henry Cavill hosted a viewing party of Man of Steel on something called Vero at 8am PT this morning. I have no idea what Vero is.
But, here's a screen grab that I saw of what it looked like.

I'm reading reports that Snyder just confirmed on his Live stream from above that his director's cut of Justice League is coming to HBO Max in 2021.

That image is not fake. It was on screen during Snyder's Live stream of Man of Steel.

Bring it! Ready to finally see it.
I wonder with the release date of next year, if they will spend the money to finish effects

They are going back to WB to finish work on it. Could be a 4 hour movie or made as a mini series.

Hope HBO Max has some sort of 7 day free trial because I'm not paying for that (already got Disney+ and have regretted that choice, lol).
Otherwise, hopefully they'll release it on 4K/Blu-ray, which I'm sure they will eventually.

BTW, given this is now a reality, should there be a separate thread?
