Pootie Tang is indeed one of the very worst movies I've ever seen, but occasionally I still think about and laugh at the gorilla scene. The fact that I remember even a second from the movie puts it above many others that are gone from my brain almost the moment they are over.

I thought the one with Paul Rudd and Tina Fey about some college kid or something was just awful. Nothing of value, completely forgettable. I can’t even remember title...

Just remembered Bucky Larson- Born to Be a Star- didn't go anywhere near theaters while that was playing but saw it at home, it was so bad and the concept so stupid that I have to give everyone involved props for getting it made and released.

Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. Was it LOL funny as JeffTheAlpaca mentioned or a great film? No. But it was charming. And enjoyable. I loved the chemistry between Tina Fey and Lily Tomlin. And I like Paul Weitz. He was the main reason I saw it.

This should have been the final nail in Travolta's career. He's one lucky son of a bitch.

Any Julia Roberts 90's Rom Com

You can also include Sandra Bullock and her 90's movies in that list too.

The one she did with Denis Leary was the only one that was watcheable.

I am not a huge fan of Pretty Woman, but that to state that those three movies are "so bad they have no redeeming qualities at all" is an opinion so bad that it has no redeeming qualities at all.

Dumb and Dumber 2. Not a single funny moment in that one. Makes the first one look like a masterpiece by comparison.

Okay, that was a funny review, at least the last part of it.

I still love the movie.

I can't help but wonder if, for those that didn't like it, it was their first M. Night movie.

It was for me, so I wasn't expecting, nor was I looking for, any sort of plot twist.

To be fair, Julia Roberts is probably the meh part of Notting Hill, but I really like everything else in it. I still need to renew my subscription to Horse and Hound.

If the subject of this thread was "Movies that Some People Like but I Don't", I wouldn't have said anything.
I think it's near impossible to watch My Best Friend's Wedding and not come away at least a little impressed with Rupert Everett's performance, even if you hate everything about the genre.

Agree. I wouldn't necessarily call "Notting Hill" a Julia Robert's film. Yes, she and Hugh Grant are the two leads. But it's also known and loved for it's supporting roles too. And as mwbmis mentioned, she's not the best part about it. It's a wonderful movie IMO. As to her other work mentioned here, I loathe Garry Marshall with a passion. I can see why "Pretty Woman" was huge though. I enjoyed "My Best Friend's Wedding' somewhat when it first came out. But learned quickly it was not a film I ever wanted to see twice. Robert's character is so unlikable. And the movie felt very cartoonish. Being a guy, I'm typically not a fan Rom Com's in general. I know I'm not their target audience. But I will say I have a soft spot for "Sliding Doors". I only saw that when it came out because I really liked Gwyneth Paltrow.
