It was a fun moment to end on. But I thought we were going to get a full final scene.
I think both this and Stretch should have had lower-key theatrical releases.
Hulu did good getting this and Palm Springs. Which ... oddly have the same basis of a time loop. Hmm.
So are we going to keep doing time loop movies till we reach the bottom like it's 2007 zombies?

Not too bad, fairly enjoyable even if it was retreading a lot of stuff from other movies. One scene that rubbed me the wrong way was when Roy was unnecessarily mean to the guy running the eSports tourney. Seems like an odd inclusion for a movie that has a title and premise that invokes video games.

I saw this last week and overall I enjoyed it. It was fun, goofy at times and didn't take itself too seriously.
I guess that ending was basically left open for interpretation.

I watched this last night and it was a lot of fun. I'm also a sucker for time-loop stories, but I do feel like the premise is being overused lately in both movies and television. Still, there are some recent gems like Palm Springs, so it's not totally played out. Boss Level had some interesting elements to it, like him figuring out the tracking device, and the end of the world event that would happen if he fails.
I was surprised by some of the minor roles played by 'name' actors like Gibson, Watts, and Yeoh. And even Annabelle Wallis, who isn't a huge star but has some name recognition and a solid enough resume that I am really surprised she took the role of 'hot chick in bed with hero every morning who runs away screaming.'
A lot of it was hokey, but in a fun way. Like the motley gang of assassins and their signature killing methods. I don't care how good with a sword you are, you can't dodge bullets, lmfao. But, whatever, it gave us some cool swordfighting scenes and an excuse to include Michelle Yeoh. Dumb, but fun, is the best way to describe this movie.
My take on the ending is the same as Dr. DVD's spoilered comment above.

This movie was great... I didn't expect too much and it way over-delivered. Considering it had Grillo AND Gibson, I was thinking it was direct to DVD quality shite... but man, what a fun movie.

Threw this on on a whim tonight and was just blown away at how…solid…it was. I hadn’t heard anything about it before seeing it in my Hulu list tonight. Sure it’s a premise we’ve seen a lot lately but it had some new takes, great action, humor, real heart and over-the-top characters. Loved how the wind picked up every time Guan Yi said her line
I really had low expectations based solely on the generic poster and they were more than met. Better than most of the other streaming action movies I’ve watched this year.

Watched this tonight while everyone else was in bed. I thought it would be fine, it turned out pretty good. I had a lot of fun. I was getting ingredients together to bake a pie during the first twenty minutes (rhubarb custard) so I may have missed a few details but I wouldn't mind going back to watch it again. It had a good sense of humor about the whole thing, too, so that puts it in-between Groundhog Day and Edge of Tomorrow in terms of tone.

Like most people in this thread, I found this to be a lot of fun. I'm glad someone finally pointed out that the repeat-til-you-get-it-right genre is a video game trope and that this movie totally leaned into it.
I wasn't sure how to feel about Col. Ventor being so gung ho about correcting mistakes of the past. It seemed a little on-the-nose to have that character say something like when you have Mel Gibson playing him. I suppose that could've been an addition to the script after his casting. Regardless, it's a minor point.
I don't believe anyone has mentioned this, but that ending appears to be Hulu-specific. I watched the movie on Hoopla, and the last few seconds are different.

^ No, the difference occurs just prior to the credit roll. The Hulu version has an extra couple of seconds

I watched on Amazon Prime, which doesn't have the extra scene L Everett Scott mentions.
Liked it, very fun. Fine with the ambiguous ending, though since I enjoyed the movie enough to want a happy ending.
