Knoxville explained that in one, the group attempt to break the world record by becoming the first people to light a fart underwater.
The photo shows newcomer Eric Manaka sitting in a tank of water with his legs spread, while MythBusters star Tory Belleci works above him in an attempt to make the chemistry work.

Slightly funny story. I started showing my 12 year old the 1st Jackass movie because I want to take him to see this. I think these movies are right up his alley. Anyway, I started the movie. He asked me if the new one was "more modern". The first movie is in SD and 4:3.

Re: Jackass Forever (2022)
I had a young co-worker going off about early seasons of Always Sunny being 4:3
But I think you may have been showing him the TV series or CKY? The movie was definitely 16:9, unless you dare bought a P&S DVD *gasp*

I had to record them from MTV this past weekend as they don't seem to be on any streaming services. It was definitely 4:3 in what they showed.

That's weird, it is SD though any way you look at it.
The movies are on Paramount+ apparently.

Re: Jackass Forever (2022)
I got some laughs... and I guess that is all I can ask for.
I did not like the new cast... they were all pretty annoying. I guess Paramount is looking ahead to try and use these new people to continue the franchise in some form... whether it be another movie... or relaunching the show on MTV or Paramount+. And I found most of the stunts not to be that great. It definitely lacks not having any from the CKY crew... but not much they can do about that. I saw in the press Knoxville said Bam was in a scene and I did see his name in the credits, but no clue where he was.

About what I expected. About a third of it was really funny, a third was reasonable funny, and a third was not funny at all. The best bit was when they got them in the dark room and started doing stuff to them.
Other than Poopies, the new cast was not very good. After Danger Ehren, he was probably the funniest cast member.

I had no issues with the new cast, but many of the stunts felt... tame?

Re: Jackass Forever (2022)
Seeing the first Jackass movie was one of my best cinema going experiences. Of course, I didn't have much access to the internet back then. Twenty-years later, I figure I must be desensitized to all these kind of crazy and gross-out stunts since I can now see them everyday just browsing twitter or reddit. That said, I was lucky to have a decent sized crowd (because of COVID restrictions, the theatre can only see something like 30 pairs of seats) and I laughed and cringed more than I was expecting.
A sign the times are a' changin': in Jackass 2, they had to digitally blackout the dude's mouth when he drank horse semen because the MPAA considered that a "sexual act", but in 2022, we see the drinking of pig semen unobscured.

Re: Jackass Forever (2022)
I thought the stunts were probably the best of the four films. Thing is though, I’ve always found the pranks on an unsuspecting public to be the best of what Jackass does. I.E the little people brawl in the bar being the best thing they ever did. This new film was severely lacking when it came to pranks. Knoxville being catapulted into the ceiling was the hardest I laughed the whole movie. But that was about it when it came to pranks.
If they make another one with the new cast doing the stunts, the old crew could easily slide into the role of doing just pranks. Or stunts that are more clever than dangerous like the dark room. Stuff that won’t give Knoxville any more brain damage.

Re: Jackass Forever (2022)
Noticed this was on my Paramount+ account yesterday, which surprised me a bit because I saw no report on when it was coming out on streaming. It was just there. I'll watch it this weekend. It's just that kinda party movie to watch during the weekend while enjoying a beer or cocktail.
