Re: The General Star Wars Discussion Thread
I enjoyed her appearance, but she wasn't a draw and getting rid of her didn't seem to hurt the show onscreen or behind the scenes. So what's the need to bring her back? Disney isn't running a charity.
EDITED TO ADD: I suppose it could help lock down the oft-ignored "Sci-Fi is Too Progressive" Demographic. |

No she wouldn't. She was a signficantly worse actor than everyone else in The Mandalorian to the point that I found it distracting at times, before she ever did anything questionable off screen.

Maybe she’d actually be a draw? A lot of people like her and/or don’t care about outside "stuff". I still feel Star Wars movies are going to be a tough sell but she’d be as good a choice as any to be in one of they tried.
Sometimes it's okay to admit someone is horrible, on and off screen. |

Whatever, I’m sure she won’t be back. |

I mean, Ian Mcdiarmid as Palpatine is maybe the only actual tangible good performance in the entire 9 film saga. :D.
Harrison Ford as Han Solo in the original trilogy is a really good, naturalistic performance. It's funny and believable. Hell, Peter Cushing gave a better villain performance in the original Star Wars as Grand Moff Tarkin than Ian McDiarmid did as Palpatine. |

Star Wars Celebration 2027 merch. Will be available next week when tickets go on sale. Here is some of what is being offered. I'm going to be home next Wednesday, so I'm going to try to secure a ticket for 2 days. Still deciding if I want to try to go on a Saturday.
https://www.starwarscelebration.com/...rch/merch.html I probably won't try to get any merch unless I can secure a ticket. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...52753b5d42.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...78bf1905d3.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...aedf2378d3.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...08c1dedfe2.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...47bc312283.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...a4c7332ffe.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...79137839dd.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...43935b3c36.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...5c3a44fe79.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...61d9d407a5.jpg |

ETA: Apparently not AI. Artist: https://www.instagram.com/julienricojr/ It sucks that this guy's style has essentially become synonymous with AI work. So much of the artificial slop churned out looks extremely similar to his style. |

AI or not, the geometry of the planet and it's relationship to Vader's helmet on that poster really bugs me. It's all I see when I look at it.

Re: The General Star Wars Discussion Thread
I would never wear it, but that Tatooine jacket is both ugly and cool looking at the same time to me.
|
Re: The General Star Wars Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'd rather see something like an "in-universe" style for a jacket, like something the field reps for Kuat Drive yards would wear or something.
|
Re: The General Star Wars Discussion Thread
I just hope whoever buys those jackets leaves some pussy for the rest of us.

Some actors booked to appear at SW Celebration. As usual Hayden is a regular to SW Cons.
