Bohemian Rhapsody and Straight Outta Compton from 4 years ago were huge successes.
What music biopic of a band or musician do you want to see?
My choices
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
U2
Van Halen
Guns N' Roses
4 of the choices above had plenty of drama and friction between band members which makes for more compelling movies.
Also it would be nice for the actual band members to still be alive to see a movie based on their life and obviously you want the best directors and screenwriters for these movies.

Irving Berlin.
For two scenes.
1) I want to see his meltdown when "Alexander's Ragtime Band" goes into public domain in 1986 (75 years after it was published!). True story.
2) I want to see his reaction when he gets the request from Jimmy Breslin to use a line from the Berlin song, "The Girl That I Marry," in a wedding reception scene in one of his novels. Berlin famously turned him down and Breslin's publisher had to reset the galleys from that point in the book on. Breslin wrote an angry column about it on the occasion of Berlin's 100th birthday in 1988. (Berlin died the next year at 101.)

Kembra Pfahler & GG Allin. Both would likely be NC-17 though.

A Pantera movie would be good though maybe it would have to be a indie
A Metallica movie would be another good subject to cover.

Pink Floyd... the Syd Barrett breakdown and the Waters/Gilmour feud would be interesting to see as it evolves and spans decades.

Alice Cooper
Movie title should be called A Singer Name Alice. Sacha Baron Cohen will be perfect as Frank Zappa.

There are certain biopics I would like to see, but only if done right. The majority of the ones I have seen usually suck because they follow the same cliche patterns in order to appeal to mainstream audiences.
Here are some of my choices
Keith Moon
David Bowie
Robert Johnson
Iggy Pop
Bon Scott
Sam Cooke

KISS...with absolutely NO meddling or involvement from Paul and Gene. I want cold hard ugly truth... not Paul and Gene dictating the narrative with no input from others. I.e. "Paul and Gene were angels and everyone else was out to destroy us!"... while Gene is shown smashing thousands of hot chicks and each one LOVING it every time.

I'd love to see a music biopic on KISS, Zeppelin and GNR, warts and all. Hmmm, might need to wait until some of the participants are dead for a warts and all film.
(shit, it actually would be interesting if you involve the whole part of El Duce claiming that Courtney Love tried hiring him to kill Kurt Kobain, and dying in mysterious circumstances shortly after telling people).

Think Bathory, but includes 15th century creepy music.

How about El Duce and the Mentors instead? I recently saw their documentary, and a biopic would be... interesting. Originally Posted by Gunde

Not one mention of The Beatles yet? I think that would be interesting despite knowing a lot of the band’s history already. I’d be curious more than anything to see who would be cast. If not a full on Beatles film maybe one about Lennon post-Beatles to his death.
