The Jerk with Steve Martin. It was funny when I was 14, but now at 58, not so much.

I still think the first half is funny. As soon as he becomes rich, the movie turns to shit.

Lethal Weapon 4. I remember me and a friend saw Saving Private Ryan and it was beyond intense, so we snuck in and watched LW4 to take the edge off and were howling like morons at certain scenes, like the one in the dentist's office. Once the shock and awe of SPR wore off, we reflected and were all like, LW4 was fucking awful!

The Monster Squad on the other hand, was one that missed when I was a kid and only watched it for the first time a few years ago. I didn’t care for it at all (I’m not even sure I finished it). I feel it’s definitely a “nostalgia” movie too considering my love of The Goonies and complete indifference to The Monster Squad.
The Monster Squad definitely doesn’t hold up to repeated viewings. I think I might have seen this in theaters, maybe. But, I remembered liking it well, but on a recent viewing, it was merely ok.

OK, so we watched this last night. Not great for family fun time. For some reason, I thought there was more humor to it. At least humor that didn't revolve around "homos" and probably pedophile teachers. This one likely won't be watched again.
