I'll eventually rent this... but I can't be the only one who thinks the title is incredibly stupid.

Reviews sounds about par for the course when it comes to a Pierre Morel directed movie - critically panned, so-so audience reception. I'll watch it at some point since I like Garner a lot.

Reviews aren't good on Rotten Tomatoes, but I don't care. Seeing it Sunday afternoon on A-List.

I’ll wait and see what people here think before bothering.

Getting absolutely crushed by critics. 9%, ouch. I thought of that Salma Hayek movie, Everly, when I saw the trailer. Even that (which I watched and barely made it through) got better reviews (24%).

Can you tell me why you, or others on here for that matter, always feel the need to mention that you're using A-List (and previously MoviePass) to see a movie? That is completely irrelevant and useless information. Trying to make yourself feel better that you go to see bad movies at a discount? Is it a feeling of superiority ("look at me, I have a movie subscription")?

IGN, take it for what it’s worth, gave it a 6.7 out of 10. They said the best part is Jennifer Garner.
Another review I watched said that she’s great, but the villains suck.

1) to promote a service the poster believes in
OR
2) it really says “I wouldn’t have paid to see this”

I can see what you mean though, because everything you read on a movie talk forum MUST be relevant to everyone.

I know some people hate relying on reviews and aggregates, but if that many critics find a movie not worthwhile, chances are I won't either and won't risk wasting the time and money to see it in theaters.

Wonder why the audience has it rated at 80%. IMDB also has it at a decent score. I’ll definitely give it a chance since I usually tend to side with the audience over critics. I couldn’t believe critics only rated The Greatest Showman a 56%.

Just saw it and it was bad ass. Tons of action and violence. A lot more than the recent Death Wish. For a movie like this to work, they need to go all the way with it, and this one pulled no punches.
Makes me wish Netflix Punisher had this much vigilante action and killing.
Pshhh critics. If you like women kicking ass, close range head shots, and good action, then go see it.

Just got back from a full matinee. I liked it even though it's gotten mostly bad reviews. Jen Garner was basically playing Sydney Bristow, Jack Bauer and The Punisher for 90 minutes. The action, torture and kills were pretty awesome. They go no holds barred, no mercy on the kills.
But, the main villain is kind of weak, but seeing Riley North take down all the corruption with no mercy that led to her family's murder was a fun watch.
I'd give it a B-
There is a twist on a character that I admit I was a little surprised to see.

I thought it was okay. Garner was the best part.
I did think it was odd that
I do like that she didn’t completely lose her personality after coming back. She could have been a cold-blooded killing machine. Thought they kept that balance well.

Maybe it will be in deleted scenes when released on blu-ray or dvd. In my opinion, the way the story unraveled was a good pace, and presented some mystery around her character in the beginning. Perhaps that was why the director decided to not include those killings.

Thats what I thought as well. Just like the cops, we as the viewer are in the dark at first. Im sure the lawyer got it pretty bad, compared to everyone else.
