I wonder if it's something to do with 20+ years of being able to screw as many hot women as you want, and then all of a sudden, you're too fat, too hairy, too old, and unfuckable. So he's raping out of desperation? Or if it's more of a "trump" problem, ie, "I'm a star, so they let me do it!"

I wonder if, when having sex is a paying job, the concept of consent can get sort of murky for certain people. The idea of sex becomes so casual after you've fucked hundreds of times for a paycheck, that it doesn't really seem like a big deal to force yourself on someone.

Several years ago out of curiosity I watched the documentary Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy. While it was an overall positive view of him, I thought it portrayed his life at the time as kind of sad--he had become basically irrelevant in the business that had made him a star and he was clinging to his remaining friendships and connections and surviving on his former glory. And that doc was made back in 2001, so I can just imagine how low he's fallen more recently. That said, it sounds like he's been a scumbag toward women for a long time and I have no sympathy for him.

Over the last year, I've been listening to lots of clips of comedians on radio shows such as Howard Stern, or Opie and Anthony, and it's astonishing the "war stories" they tell about their sexual escapades that cross all sorts of lines, but because they're comics it's all supposed to be funny. So many examples spring to mind; like Louis CK (sorry to bring up this dead horse) on Opie and Anthony appearance around 2004 where he talks about how as a teenager he used to repeatedly break into a neighbour's apartment so he could jerk off into their underwear, and then leaving the come-filled underwear out so that she could see what he'd done, or Jim Norton bragging about a fellow comic (I know who, the guy who eventually had a stoke, but don't remember his exact name so don't want to say until I check so I know 100% for sure) who used to have sex with hookers and then threaten to kill them in order to get his money back (I don't believe the argument that's theft and not rape). Another that stands out is Sal the Stockbroker bragging about ejaculating in the drink of an unsuspecting woman who turned him down, which while most likely was a lie, is bizarre that he thinks doing this would be heroic.

A number of years ago, some co-workers and I were coming back from lunch and one of them recognized a porn actress and went up to her. I don't remember her name but she was somewhat famous, (based on what my friend said), and had her own production company (she was visiting NY due to business). She was telling us a couple of stories, one included Ron Jeremy and let's just say it was not very complimentary, especially in regards to his personal hygiene.

As for Ron Jeremy, a friend of mine who used to be in the porn business said that Jeremy has been banned from most of the porn trade shows and awards events because of his behavior towards women. Allegedly, he would go around the room groping the girls and trying to finger them. Security had to be called at multiple events to throw him out since his behavior was completely rapey.
