The issue isn't his sexuality it's that he's admitted to coming onto an underaged person.

He didn't admit it though. He apologized for doing something someone else accused him of doing that he does not remember.

shouldn't the Kevin Spacey thread be separate since it's 2 different stories?

This thread hasn't been about just Weinstein for a long time. It has become a catch-all for all of these stories. And it was already being discussed before you created a thread.

Pretty sure a few of the people speaking out against Harvey Weinstein also signed NDAs (at least an assistant), but don’t care about breaking it at this point.

The fact that he "doesn't remember" indicates to me that he does (or did) this so often that it all blurred together. Which is even more troubling.

An innocent person would simply categorically deny it.

I agree with all points. I was just saying that he did not fully admit it.

I'm sure they're worded so as not to imply anything illegal took place.

My only issue with any of this is that Hollywood makes it a point of talking down to the rest of the country, as if we are all a bunch of backwards hillbillies and they are so smart because they are actors. Little did we all know how pathetic they really are.

Hollywood actors and execs might be sexual predators but they still didn't vote for Trump.

I think the attempted sexual assault and pedophilia might have something to do with it though.

He doesn't remember because he's done it so many times. This could get really ugly on a Weinsteinian level.

I don't know, when I heard Spacey's response I was thinking that if I were a Gay man I'd be pissed. I mean not only the way he has now linked Gay Sexuality and Underage Boys, something Anti-Gay folks will just love to make a big deal about...but also how it almost read like, "Hey, I was drunk and I'm gay... shit happens". It also reminded me of an "OJ defense"....By that I mean OJ denies the Black Community for years, shit does down...suddenly he's a Black Man who's a victim of the system...Spacey plays coy about being Gay for years, shit goes down...now he is publicly embracing his sexuality in the midst of adversity as some sort of shield.

Bottom line? It worked for Spacey. People are focused on HIM now and NOT the alleged victim..

So what they have in common is they are all rapists and Hillary supporters. Got it.

Entertainment Weekly has posted a story that Spacey is being hammered in the social media by some celebs (including Rose McGowan), who resent his coming out as a deflection.

I think GLAAD came out against Spacey using this to come out.

For anyone who doesn't check the TV forum... House of Cards will end after Season 6, which is currently filming.

"Multiple sources tell TVLine, however, that the decision to bring HoC to an end was made months ago and was not in response to the allegations. (A Netflix rep confirms this.)"

re: Sexual Harassment/Assault & Abuse in Hollywood -- Discussion

“Media Rights Capital and Netflix are deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning Kevin Spacey,” the companies said in a joint statement today. “In response to last night’s revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time.”

We have also heard that Netflix’s Spacey-starring film Gore about the acerbic author Gore Vidal may be on the chopping block now too. The Reed Hastings-run streaming service has stayed officially silent on the sexual advance claims. No word yet if the NYPD is looking into the Rapp claims that allegedly occurred in its jurisdiction.
