What is your favorite movie in the DC Extended Universe?

I think despite the fact that we're going to be to the fourth film soon this thread is a bit too early. Most recognize that there's been a rocky start. It seems like Wonder Woman might turn that around so hopefully I'll be able to say that soon.

Mike86, from my perspective, Wonder Woman is poised to bring in the movie goers who've avoided the previous DCU movies. I know my wife hasn't seen the last three, but she's excited about seeing WW.

Yeah too early since we have another week before Wonder Woman. Voting Man of Steel for now.

I actually probably like Man of Steel the most so far too. I still maintain that the first half or so is pretty solid. It's only after Superman and Zod meet that the film goes downhill. Otherwise I like the origin flashback stuff mostly (other than the death of Jonathan Kent) and the stuff on Antarctica. Even the opening Krypton scenes are pretty cool. It's kind of ironic that the worst parts of the film are when Superman is actually in costume.

Batman V Superman I don't hate either in all honesty. I just think it's a massive disappointment compared to what it should have been. The ultimate cut is okay though and Affleck shines as Batman. The warehouse scene is probably some of the coolest live action Batman we've seen.

Since we can't change our vote, I'll wait. In fact, this poll could've waited until Justice League comes out in 6 months.

Not too early at all. I'm going to say The Flash. No, The Flash 2.

Why create a poll now that includes a movie that hasn't been released? Or, as TheMovieman points out, ignores the fact that a major installment won't be out for 6 months?

If I am voting on what's out now, I have vote none of the above. I REALLY hope Wonder Woman changes that. However, for now I remain skeptical.

I liked Man Of Steel and the extended cut of BvS the same. Suicide Squad is a shit sandwich no matter which version you watch. I don't plan on seeing WW in the theater because I am burned out on Superhero films.

As someone who has seen it, WW by a country mile.

So far Man of Steel, but going to see WW this weekend, so may change. I think elements of each movie have been done well, but the end products have been good to terrible. I think the casting of Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn and Alfred has been good. Still not sure about Gal Gadot. She may look the part, but still her character did almost nothing in BvS, so WW will be able to provide a better assessment. Only ever seen her in the ghastly FF movies and its like watching a petrified forest across the board for the whole cast. I think some of the designs have been nicely done and the cinematography has been pretty great. Lots of potential, but so far only managing to fire on a few cylinders. Hope thats changing this year.

I voted WW and I haven't seen it yet.

They've actually been surprisingly good at casting protagonists. The villains are where they need work. A lot of work.

Wonder Woman looks like it will be the best of the bunch. She was the best thing about B v. S. I didn't mind suicide squad as much as many. I was entertained for a couple hours in the theater. It wasn't even close to any of the marvel films though.

I saw guardians this past weekend and was wondering when we will hit the saturation point for superhero films.

I felt like we hit it back around Iron Man (X-men was spinning off Wolverine movies while the main franchise was burning out, Spider-man 3 showed how hard it was to follow up a great comic book movie, Hulk was being rebooted into The Incredible Hulk after 5 years, The Dark Knight sort of put the beat down on the genre, etc; )

Agreed here. The casting choices for the most part have been decent for the heroes (although I'm not sold on Ezra Miller yet and the guy playing Cyborg feels generic to me). Even some of the villains have been okay. I liked Michael Shannon as Zod, Will Smith surprised me as Deadshot, Margot Robbie I'm not in love with as Harley but she's decent. Leto is by far the biggest misstep. Eisenberg was pretty cringey too but I can at least see some potential if he drops the goofy schtick from Batman V Superman.

I still don't even know what Extended is supposed to mean.

I know what a Cinematic Universe is... but an Extended Universe? The movies are an extension of the comic books? Lame.

It was what they came up with because Marvel apparently has dibs on the word Cinematic. I agree, it's dumb

It doesn't really matter. Aside from fanboys these acronyms are pretty meaningless to the majority of people.

^ Exactly. DCEU, DCCU, etc...who cares. We know what it is. It's the DC Films. Not hard to figure out.

I was entertained by Batman v Superman. Suicide Squad to a lesser degree.

I didn't vote because I haven't seen WW yet but of the remaining choices, I actually had the most fun and enjoyed Suicide Squad the most so that would be my vote pending my WW viewing this weekend.
