There is a different trailer for international:

Shaping up to definitely be better than any of the Paul W. S. Anderson films. Far more faithful to the games too.

HYPED!

A "Wes Anderson" directed RE film... now that would be interesting...

you'd think you'd do everything in your power to release it in October to capitalize on scary movie season.

First I thought when I saw the closer to Thanksgiving release date. Nothing like turkey and zombies.

Re: Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021, D: Roberts)

you can say what you want, but if I am producing a horror movie, I am demanding it gets released end of September, early October.

That's the sweet spot... and if Halloween is in the air, and I'm going to the movies, I'm choosing something scary.

The Halloween Kills people get it.

Right, but to put a rebooted franchise against an already well known one...

Looks great to me. I’m looking forward to this. I kind of forgot it was even coming out. So a surprise for me.

Cool trailer. I’m not sure the movie will be any good but it’s gotta be better than the last handful of Paul W. S. Anderson piles of shit.

Trailer looked fun. Love the sirens sound from beginning to end that made it creepier. 👍

Looks better and more like the games than anything in the PWSA movies.

Re: Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021, D: Roberts)

I'm a massive fan of the early Resident Evil games (until they plummeted in quality with 4 and didn't really get back until the 3DS titles). This looks like it pulls directly from the first two games. Looks fun and I'm looking forward to it.

Alright since this comes out next month, I will reveal that I saw a test screening for this back in July. I was part of one of the first audiences to see a rough cut of it. The special effects were not complete yet. But I won’t be able to talk about anything about including the plot or a review until the review embargo lifts. I did sign an NDA.

Would a review on a movie like this even matter???

You are either a fan or not.

Well yes it does matter, just because its named Resident Evil doesn't mean it's good. Example? The other six movies titled Resident Evil.

Yeah but if someone has even a passing interest in the games, a bad review isn’t going to stop them from seeing this.

I like the atmosphere and original game nods but why do they seem to be using the same shitty monster animation software they’ve used for every movie? Like it never gets better.

Trailer looks good, but unless I missed something I didn't see Alice? How can you do a RE movie without the main character?

I can't tell if you're joking, but Alice doesn't exist in the canon... That was a character created specifically for Anderson's movies and the Alice character was one of the worst aspects of those movies...
