Not entirely a negative, but it looks similar to the material used on the CW shows (Arrow and Flash in particular). Do like the color scheme, though. Really going to be weird, for this and The Flash, seeing Michael Keaton's Batman interact with these more colorful characters.

As someone who grew up a big fan of Batgirl, it's an underwhelming costume. Stunned that posters here truly like it. I haven't gone around social media looking for the general reaction yet but I can't believe it's getting much of a positive reaction. If this was on the CW, I could understand.

Many girls/women have cosplayed the Burnside costume. I've seen better recreations at conventions.

Leslie looking good in her Bat-Suit. I would guess she starts with this but will have a different suit either at the end the movie or in some other movie.

Damn, that's a bold prediction.

Phantom, while I have not gone to a ton of conventions I have also seen some pretty solid costume recreations, but here's the thing, how many of those costumes could stand up to the rigors of a sustained film shoot? Even if Leslie's Batgirl is actually a stunt double in a lot of action scenes her costume still has to be designed to last throughout a shoot. I suspect the way they put these costumes together is not cheap so there are limited costumes available as a replacement if a mishap ruins a costume during a film shoot.

Seriously, damn; I have seen some great costumes at the conventions I attended (on dudes and ladies, but picture me as the lustful wolf character when observing some of the costumes ladies have worn), but I would say that just eyeballing some of these costumes that they just would not work if some of the cosplayers had to show off some acrobatic work in costume, stuff like that.

I have a feeling tis may turn out to be a good DC film.

re: Batgirl (D: El Arbi / Fallah) [CANCELLED]

I have a friend who is a costume worker for a few large properties (Marvel, Star Wars, DC). While there are definitely multiple suits for various purposes, the main on-camera suits are meant to offer as much range of motion as possible and be comfortable for extended periods (that was not always the case, see: the older Batman suits). I'm kind of neither here nor there on the suit, but I'm not a huge Batgirl fan in general. I think it's better than the Sean Murphy suit, though, which seemed designed solely to sexualize the character.

He should stop wasting his time on 5 minutes parts. He's such a great actor. In know those jobs probably pay very well, but I want more.

There's another way to look at it, these "5 minute parts" also pay for him to star in more indie projects...

Anyway, looks great and can't wait to see (hopefully anyway) interact with Keaton's Batman.

I'm curious what it is about the Murphy costume that you find overly sexualizes her. I'd never seen it until now and it looks pretty frumpy to me.

Better pictures of the updated Keaton Batman suit. Looks pretty good to me. Belt is definitely different and the overall suit looks like a different material over the rubber look of the originals, but it doesn’t look bad for a more modern interpretation.

First look of Firefly in costume.

That looks... pretty lame. Even for Firefly, who I've felt is a pretty lame villain to begin with. It might just look too similar to the Dano Riddler, too soon.

I don’t mind the look of Firefly. Other than maybe the jacket. Hopefully he has more of a suit under it.

The character doesn’t have a great comic/animated look necessarily and kind of comes across as looking like a character out of the Ant-Man world (I mean they’re both insect inspired so makes sense I guess). At least this differentiates him from those characters.

Confused- JK is still Commissioner Gordon so is this taking place in in the Snyderverse which Flashpoint is supposed to retcon? We were just talking about this in the Cavill/Man of Steel thread.

My guess is The Flash movie is going to clear things up. At least that’s what I hope. Keaton’s Batman is in this and he’ll make his first appearance in The Flash, which I’m guessing will be some sort of Flashpoint storyline. That will allow some elements of the Snyder films to stay in place while retconning other elements.

The fact that a stand-alone Batman movie was just released that takes place in its own universe (maybe?) can’t do anything but confuse the audience even more. If we’re confused what about the average movie going audience?

Now I’m beginning to wonder if Pattinson will show up in Flashpoint…

I think Pattison will. Start off with Afleck, and after better fixes the timeline its Pattison. Maybe? Idk.

Theres only 3 separate Batmen this year.

I don’t see Pattinson’s Batman being a part of anything bigger. It doesn’t really seem like that’s the route they’re going. Maybe I’m wrong though.
