Things people only do in movies, which remind you that you are watching a movie?
What are annoying things that people only do in the movies, that really remind you that you are watching a movie?
For example, one thing that always reminds me that I'm watching a movie is when the character is walking toward the screen, and then deliberately changes direction, so that the actor or actress won't knock over the camera, but has no reason for that character to do so in the movie itself (the actual character wouldn't walk into anything, it is just so that the actor or actress won't knock over the camera).

It's usually during a car chase scene but there's always those moronic glass-installers that choose to park on the opposite side of where their job is and walk across the street carrying a large pane of glass completely oblivious to the revving engines, screetching tires and police sirens coming towards them.
Of course, they never make it the opposite side of the road with that pane of glass still intact.

Hanging up a phone at the end of a conversation without saying goodbye. Always drives me nuts!

How nobody ever mumbles and everybody understands everybody else without ever saying, "what was that?"
Or couples who start kissing in bed first thing in the morning before brushing their teeth. If they've recently had sex, they also sleep in bizarre "L" shaped sheets that cover the woman's breasts but the man's side goes all the way down to his waist.

No matter where they are or how busy the particular city is, they always score that sweet parking spot right in front of the building they want to go in.

If somebody is standing right next to me, but it is out of frame of the camera, I can't see them.

If you have to move the steering wheel left and right as much as they do in many movies, you really need an alignment, possibly new tires, most likely you just hit a pedestrian.

Hot wiring a car... such as The Rock in San Andreas.
So unrealistic with today's vehicles...like two wires yanked from under the dash will start a vehicle.

-People in the background not carrying anything. People have bags, purses, briefcases, backpacks, etc.
-People not reacting to all the shit/commotion going on just 20ft away. No crowds, no gawkers, etc
-Keys in the sun-visor...come the fuck on...
-The way Gang Members act. CLEARLY written by Non-PoC's who've only seen and heard Gang members in films.
-Sex scenes where women keep their bras on. It happens but come on.

In old movies with rotary phones, people know every phone number they have to dial without looking it up.

This isn't something that characters do, but something they rarely do--use the bathroom. Unless it's played for comedic effect or important to the plot you rarely see characters using the toilet.

If there are hazmat or space suits or any enclosed helmet, there is a bright light inside the helmet shining right in the actor's face. That would really cut down on what you could see out of the helmet, but gotta see the actor's face.

You never see people in the movies dickin' around on their phones. It's just plot-drivin' business. I think this is part of why people sometimes get anti-technology. We're supposed to Star Trek and Minority Report and Quantum Leap our way through life, not play Angry Birds because we're bored.

The Slow Clap. It may happen in real life now, but only because it was invented by the movies (and I have yet to hear it in real life).

Zippo lighters. Every damn movie character carries a zippo lighter. You never see our hero pull out a cheap plastic lighter to light a gasoline trail on fire!

Lead actors go into dangerous situation ...with team...they are only ones with no helmets and/or minimal protection.
