I'll be honest I saw this movie way more than any normal person should have because HBO was always showing it in the early 90's at least twice a day. And its a really terrible movie that never should have been made. Apparently it was written by Dan Aykroyd because he thought John Candy in drag would be funny. Yet I'm kind of surprised it isn't a cult movie.
It had a decent amount of recognizable stars in it. For Aykroyd and Chase it was two years after Christmas Vacation and Ghostbusters 2. Demi Moore just had the biggest hit of her career in Ghost the previous year. John Candy was still a name in comedy. How the hell they signed on to this I have no idea.
It's just so incredibly weird. It's like Deliverance meets Tim Burton and tries to be a funny horror movie but it fails miserably. So should it be a bigger cult movie or is it best left forgotten? Oh and Dan Aykroyd's nose looks like a penis.

Awful film. Just awful.

I've been a fan of this awfully bizarre, occasionally just plain awful, film for decades. The older I get the more I wonder just how in the hell it got a green light. Great cast, though.

As a kid I saw this in the theater. My sister asked me how was it, and I told her it was great. Then she and her boyfriend went to see it and walked out of it midway because it was so bad. Not a good movie. But I enjoyed it as a youngster just because it was so off the wall.

I remember a really awful ad for this that was basically still images of the stars and the announce would say "Chevy Chase is... Nothing But Trouble" and the Chase cutout would move its lips with the movie title. They went through the whole cast doing that. It was perplexing.

I saw it on vhs one time, and I hated it as a kid. I still don't think I would like it as an adult. I did laugh at the Digital Underground cameo though. My vote for a 90s comedy that deserves a bigger cult following would be Men at Work with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. It really is funny, plus Keith David steals the show.

I wanted to like this film. I even saw in the theater. It is truly terrible. It doesn't worth on any level. The only redeeming quality of the movie is Demi Moore. And not for her acting.

My brothers and I "love" this film. Yes, we know it's a bad film. It's soooooo dumb, but we've seen it way tooo many times because it was always playing on HBO back in the day. It's got so many great quotable lines that we still continue to use.
Didn't realize it at the time, but 2Pac's in it with Digital Underground!

I too watched this movie numerous times back in the early 90s on HBO. A truly terrible movie that I'd probably end up watching again if I ever flipped by it on cable.

I agree with Men at Work. One of my favorites as a teen and I've been known to quote it to this day!

Yeah, Nothing But Trouble is terrible. It's the kind of movie you can sit home and watch alone, and you're just overwhelmed with a sense of shame and embarassment and you don't know why exactly.
I suspect that Yoga Hosers would create a similar effect.

I just checked, and its available to rent on VUDU. I might have to give it another try this weekend to see if I still feel the same way about it.

This train wreck of a movie is free to watch on VUDU, I'm watching it for the first time since it came out on VHS.

Count me as another that used to watch it constantly on HBO when I was a kid. Obviously it isn't a great movie, but I always had fun watching it.
