So I'm guessing this must have turned in a little profit with what few screens it appeared on. Because I've seen well over 30 IG accounts who posted pics of their tickets.
Is there another popular adult DC graphic novel that could repeat this business?

Hush
Those are the only two I can think of. They would definitely have to be longer than 75 minutes, though.

Hush? People still like that POS retread of The Long Haloween?
Jeff Loeb only had one good story in him, The Long Halloween. Everything he's done since then has been derivative and predictable. Hush was an awful story and everyone could see the twist coming a mile away. Loeb makes Shyamalan look subtle.

The special showing of this last night made $3.175m, or to put it into recent Box Office perspective, about 2.5 times as much as Neon Demon's entire run.

That's really good, I want to go watch the showing tonight, but I think I will just wait for the bluray. Why pay $10 for a ticket when can buy it for $16.99 on sale next week.

The Court of Owls storyline is pretty neat, so there's that one.

I wasn't planning on seeing it so I watched a review on YouTube by Chris Stuckman. He gave it a C+. He didn't the whole first act with Bat Girl. He thought some of the animation was lacking, especially on the big screen. He really liked it when the movie stuck to the source material.

It was alright, and I can appreciate them wanting to do something with Barbara other than just have her get shot, but her and Bruce
Was way out of character for both of them, and more than a little creepy.

I must be a mouth breather because the tacked on story and the questionable scene, added to the questionable motivation Babs has of even becoming Batgirl in the first place, are all repulsive to me. The original graphic novel has been lambasted for some time as just a "fridging" of Barbara as a motivation for the men in the story, and while they tried to flesh her part out to avoid that, it almost ends up making it worse.

That's like damning with faint praise though. Nobody thinks Miller and Lee's unfinished All Star Batman and Robin was any good, other than if you're a fan of Lee's art.

A) tried to improve the animation
B) cut back on the Batgirl story and expunged

Just saw it and enjoyed the hell out of it. The first 30 mins reminded me of this:

Which was Batgirl's last case before Killing Joke. You needed to see more of babs before she is just shot, and this helped.
'That' scene didnt bother me, but there was a lot of WTF from the audience.
The ending was well done. Batman and Joker laugh as expected and then the credits hit with no music. Only the sound of the rain. Haunting.

The first 20 minutes feel like completely random slash fiction from another film entirely, but Conroy and Hamill are as brilliant as you'd hope, and once they get to the actual storyline, it's totally the adaptation I'd been hoping for. I thought the animation looked pretty good myself, maybe a bit stiff, but I've seen way worse.

I felt they needed to emphasize Babs and Jims relationship more so than her and Batmans. It would have given more kick to Jokers plan to drive Gordon insane.

Rented the BD last night (it was put out early where I go to)
Thought it was pretty good. Normally don't really watch these DC animated movies, but it was a surprisingly really dark and violent animated movie.
I liked that it was a mix of a Joker origin story and also brought up the origin story of Oracle. Hamill was great as Joker and Conroy, who I've heard as Wayne/Batman in the past was solid as usual.
I didn't realize that Barbara Gordon had a thing for Bruce Wayne.
Probably won't watch this again, but I thought it was a good rental and watch, especially for fans of Batman. Really short at just under 77 minutes. Unless you're a hardcore fan of the material, I wouldn't pay $10+ to see this in theatres. Just wait until it's officially released on Tuesday.

Bruce and Barbara were going on a date in her first appearance on the TV show! These outraged fanboys need to learn history. In the 60's and 70's she was much closer in age to Bruce than she was to Dick. It was only in the mid 2000's they started making Barbara younger and younger to retcon a relationship with Dick.

There's been hints of a relationship between them dropped a few times but they've never really officially been dating that I remember.
