I couldn't agree more. Probably my favorite Prince song, and in my top 5 songs of all time. Can't believe it couldn't reach #1, getting beat to the spot by Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go", but the single should have come out way earlier than Novermber, since the movie was a summer release.

What's amazing is that even in a movie as silly as "Purple Rain" (yes, I do think it is kind of silly), the performance of "Purple Rain" is just captivating. Easily the best moment in the whole film.

I always liked the performance of The Beautiful Ones in this flick. Such a underated Prince song.

It would've been nice if they put Sign of the Times back in theaters. That was a great concert film and playlist. Opportunity lost.

I feel the same way about Computer Blue.

So what does everyone here think of the sequel, Graffiti Bridge? It has the same characters (The Kid and the rival band The Time) but it's a very different movie, not taking place in any sort of real world. None of it was shot in any real locations, it's all on soundstages.

I haven't seen that in ages. However, I still love Under the Cherry Moon.

Graffiti Bridge. lol Tevin Campbell. I need to revisit Cherry Moon. I remember thinking I liked it but it's gotta be like 15 years since I seen it.

Damn. So Prince had 4 major films released. Forgot all about that.

I would love to seen an entire Prince concert filmed like they filmed the concert scenes in the movie. Just captivating. I have the live VHS from the Purple Rain tour and while it is good, it doesn't meet the feel and magic of the stuff in the movie.
