Saw this last night and give it a C at best. They took one attack scene from JAWS and made it into an 80 minute movie. Blake Lively is very attractive. Reminded me of Melissa Benoist in some scenes.
My big gripe with these movies is the dumb shit people do.
She's smart enough to be a doctor but she'll go to remote beach with no ride home?
Two guys see a gorgeous girl all alone then ignore her? Shit, they'd be keeping an eye on her all day seeing if they can hook up later.
Quite a few of the shots were obvious green screen shots but like Tom said, they had to do it that way to get a stable shot.
Lively in a bikini was the highlight.

Temu version!
This movie is actually from a year ago, but randomly popped up in my YouTube feed.
Some googling revealed that the writer-director actually worked in a HAPPY DEATH DAY / GROUNDHOG DAY sci-fi AI/VR time-loop aspect that is kinda hinted at in the trailer in retrospect. Because of course he did. And I gotta admit, that does make me curious.
(some of the commenters on YT note a few brief instances of actual footage from the Hollywood version in the trailer. I haven’t seen the original in ages so I couldn’t say for sure, but I’d almost – almost – be curious to suffer though this to see just how much more might have been lifted.)
