I'd double dip for the 4k for around $10. Probably won't see that for awhile though.

Double dipped on the Blu-ray of the first film because I liked the 80s style slipcover with Deadpool and the unicorn plus it had $8 in movie cash. I can’t get the fucking Fandango site to work though so that was basically a waste. The theater list wouldn’t populate and I couldn’t get past that step. I tried two browsers plus my iPhone. Oh well still planning to go tonight at 8:30.

What was the whole story of Brad Pitt doing that blink and miss him cameo getting electrocuted as Vanisher?

It was a cameo
just a quick little joke appearance.
No need to try to figure anything out.

"Ryan [Reynolds] and I went to pitch Brad," Leitch says in the video below. "We had concept art, and it's sort of how the Vanisher cameo came to life. Because I think he entertained it for a bit and I know his schedules wouldn't allow it to happen, so he came and did the cameo for fun."

Just to be clear, they pitched the role of Cable to Pitt, and he considered it, but never had the role, reportedly due to schedule conflicts. So Pitt didn't "pull out" of playing Cable, because he never agreed to play Cable.

Ah, okay. I obviously misremembered the story. Thanks for correcting.

i can't even see Pitt as Cable. Brolin was perfect. he certainly is Marvel Jesus being in two different Marvel franchises and playing a big role in each to perfection.

Yeah, Pitt just doesn't really fit the character. He doesn't seem to have the physical size to convincingly portray Cable, and he's not grizzled enough even though he's shed his pretty boy looks from the 1990s. Brolin probably wasn't the first name that would come up if I was casting the character, but he was damned near perfect.

He definitely looks stockier than Pitt which gives him a bigger presence.
