An incredibly beautiful woman who is a little too thin (IMHO) but that means she is average weight for Hollywood.
She's 28, so she is right in that sweet spot where she can be cast as everything from a young adult to a woman in her mid-30s, which again is right in Hollywood's wheelhouse.
But like so many actresses that have been in her position, the question is what will happen in her personal life.
She's single and has no babies, but statistically that is likely to change in the next few years.
Right now she is more Spirit Award famous than Oscar famous, and Tulip Fever isn't going to change that. Maybe the Bourne movie will make her a real movie star.

At the end,
Sheerly on the basis of their films (not mention educational statistics), it seems to me like Europeans have an infinitely healthier attitude about human sexuality than we do in the US.

Yeah. It's really sad how we are about sexuality here. It's really not that big of a deal. Beings of people fuck. You'd think it'd be a part of a healthy presentation in our society in being fine w/ sexuality... but nope. Goddamn fucking religion. Religion is like the worst thing man could have ever created.
It just stops so many of us from using proper informed logic. Though... if that is what stops some people... than maybe they're really dumb fucks for not seeing beyond that too. I dunno.

Re: Alicia Vikander
She has been in roles in sole highly acclaimed movies smaller films and has performed well in them. She isn't being shoved down our throats the way say a Shailene Woodley has been for the past couple of years

She is my favorite "new" actress. and I hated The Man From U.N.C.L.E. She was the best thing about The Danish Girl and I will be re-watching Ex-Machina this week because it was my favorite sci-fi movie of 2015.

If nothing else, this thread has reminded me that, yes, I actually paid money to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E. at a theater.
I haven't yet seen The Danish Girl and I was underwhelmed by Ex Machina, so I guess I'm still undecided with respect to Ms Vikander's oeuvre.

I saw UNCLE in theatres too. I thought she was great in it. The movies plot lacked. But all the actors, music, production was great.
