Unfortunately my local theater isn't getting this. Not really surprising but I would have liked to have seen this in a theater with a crowd.

This is playing at an AMC that I don't really care to go to.

I don't care to see this at AMC if there's a chance it'll play in IMAX at Regal. Anyone know if that's confirmed or not?

It's at an AMC here in town. Either way, I'm skipping it, not too excited about this one. Maybe I'll pickup the 3D at some point.

Its exclusively at AMC for one week, I wish it was in Imax, but its not. I hope to go see it tonight or sometime this weekend. Also our Alamo Drafthouse is getting it on Sept 1-2nd. I don't know if anyone here is familar with the website Tugg.com, but its available on there to plan a screening.

Any other reviews say that the 3d is useless?Originally Posted by Bluelitespecial
I found this story confirming some CGI changes for the rerelease. The winshield on the truck in the first truck chase, and putting Arnold's head on the stunt double. This little stuff doesnt bother me, less than two more weeks to go. Also I don't know if it was mentioned, but the rerelease is exclusive to AMC for the first week. http://screenrant.com/terminator-2-3...cameron-cgi/2/

Top Gun in 3d was pointless, the only joy I got out of that was seeing it on an IMAX screen. I think there might be a few small pop off the screen effects, but the biggest selling point of this release is seeing T2 on the big screen. Especially for those of us who weren't old enough in 1991 to see it.

The daylight color timing has been changed pretty dramatically, which I'm not crazy about...but the detail in just the youtube clips released is pretty incredible.

That change to the bike jump sort of sucks after all these years. The audience knew that wasn't Arnold (Legend Peter Kent), but the jump was 100% real and I thought that's what really matters.

It will in the UK. Either way, not a real motivator for me.Originally Posted by Artman

If anyone on here lives close to an AMC, I would say it's worth it. I just got home from seeing it. I don't know what else can be said for reviewing the movie. But it was a good 3D conversion, nothing eye popping off the screen, but serviceable. The remaster looked good and all the cgi fixs are more about correcting small nitpicking errors. Only complaint I had would be the high ticket price. Otherwise enjoy!!

This is a must see for me. Will catch it this weekend. Not sure how many times I'll watch.
Amazing movies like T2 don't really come out anymore. Different times, I suppose.

granted Titanic was an IMAX-3D release this doesn't come close - the 3D at times with medium layering and the occasional gun pointed to the face, but it's largely a missed opportunity. My AMC's sound system was pretty crappy with little to no bass. Great to see it again on the big screen but the 3D conversion is inconsistent at best.

It was mostly layering to what you saw on the screen, I liked the 3d during Sarah's Nuclear Dream Sequence. I hope to go one more time next week.

Did this T2 3D release also get a brand new upgraded soundmix?

I always thought the sound was amazing. Of course this was back when Cinema Digital Sound was in theaters.
