Honestly... my desk would shatter as I'm sitting down if Fassbender was cast. Hardy gets me hard. Fassbender does that and makes me come.

Pretty good teaser trailer. Gives a good sense of the scope of the movie without showing much.

Seven Minutes of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ Will Screen Before ‘Rogue One’ in 70mm IMAX

We have learned from multiple sources that a seven-minute prologue for Christopher Nolan‘s new film Dunkirk will play in front of select 70mm IMAX showings of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Hit the jump to learn more about the Dunkirk IMAX preview.

Last month we reported that over a dozen IMAX theaters around the world would be presenting Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars standalone movie in 70mm IMAX 2D film. While the movie was not shot using IMAX’s signature 70mm film cameras, Lucasfilm and Disney is presenting the film in the format in 15 theaters around the world. And for those of you lucky to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in this format, we have learned that Warner Bros is including a seven-minute long prologue for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming war film Dunkirk in front of the movie. Rogue One is a gritty war film, so this seems like a perfect fit.

Christopher Nolan has shot large sequences for many of his films using IMAX’s 70mm cameras, and in the past, the IMAX prologues for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises were previewed before other IMAX presentations in the months before release.

I contacted Warner Bros and IMAX this morning to get official confirmation but have yet to get a response. So I’m not sure if this seven-minute preview will also be included on IMAX digital screenings in addition to the 15 70mm IMAX presentations. IMAX in the past has included some previews on their digital releases, but Nolan’s films have primarily focused on the large format film presentations. We will update and bump up this story if we hear back. Here is the list of IMAX theaters where Rogue One will screen in 70mm film projection:

Seems like an odd pairing. What's next, seven minutes of "Office Christmas Party" in front of "Moana"?

They showed seven minutes of The Handmaiden before Moana here.

Weird that a WB flick is getting so promoted in front of a Disney flick. I'm guessing, aside from WB doing its thing, this is also IMAX pushing this one a lot too.

I'm really behind on how strong IMAX has become over the years.

I'm not a Nolan fanboy, but can the mods somehow ban stvn1974 from posting in threads about Nolan's films? His trolling is tired and boring.

Once a troll trolls too hard, I get used-to the troll and the impact of the troll fades. Now I'm quite amused by it.

 Doing this with some people actually helps with the flow of the threads too since you can easily skip over the nonsense.

One could argue that they've actually diluted their brand, gone way off course, and confused audiences over the last 15 years. There are far fewer genuine IMAX movies being made these days.

In addition to that, the increase in Liemax screens and people thinking they're seeing and paying more to watch them on "IMAX".

I love Liemax, the sound systems associated with those kick ass. And they tend to be the brightest for 3D movies.

Not that many people have access to a real IMAX screen so cut them a little slack.
