Less than 2 years ago when Matt Reeves already signed on as director of the Batman solo movie. Ben was feeding us this BS. He said he was still Batman and would jump up and down the floor like an ape for Matt Reeves.

So the whole thing with he was working on a story and couldn't crack it and handed it off to another director is a total cop-out PR spin.

I agree his Batman was not bad. But I think most of the "love" he gets, its simply because the Batman V Superman had such a shitty script and almost everybody expected him to suck so much coming from previous attempts at Superhero (Daredevil), that the fact he was able to do some acting, made everyone go Gaga
But personally he still was miles away from Keaton or Conroy and yeah i know he is animated but I still love him so fuck u

I didn't care for Affleck being cast as Batman at first. In fact, I hated him being cast... but now he is my Fave Movie Batman, knocking Bale out of #1. So I'm willing to give Armie a chance if cast in the role.

Even Hammer has debunked it.

I was never one that hated the casting of Affleck despite not liking Batman V Superman or most of the DCEU films. That said though I think Affleck never got the chance to give a great performance as Batman/Bruce. I think he was serviceable in the role, but overall I’ll view him for what he ultimately is which is a small footnote in the character’s on film history.
He had some standout scenes such as the warehouse scene and the scene in Suicide Squad where he captures Deadshot in the alleyway. I think by the time Justice League rolled around he was done and you could tell. He just seemed to be going through the motions with it and the performance was really just so-so. Overall I can’t put him as one of the best to play the part simply because we didn’t see enough of him.

Affleck was just fine as Batman. Not great, exactly, but reputable enough.
The material he had to work with was not. That’s why I was so amped for him directing a stand-alone film.

Grain of salt, supposedly it will feature 4 villains.
I suggest those villains should be: Dr. DOUBLE X, SIGNALMAN, KILLER MOTH, and The MIME.

I’d love if Hugo Strange was a villain. He’d be a good villain for an early career Batman to deal with. Penguin is in the running Last we heard. McGregor’s Black Mask could be cool too, but I have a feeling we won’t see any crossover yet. Hugo could be a good mastermind with Penguin in charge of the muscle and supplying the weapons. Not sure who else to pair with him though. I’d want to say maybe like Firefly and Ventriloquist.

Yeah, Dr. Hugo Strange would be a great villain (especially played by Andy Serkis).

The problem with using the Penguin is that Gotham had a great take on the character, and it will be hard for the movie to top.
The Penguin is a silly character that doesn’t translate well into modern times, so he’s best avoided unless you have a really syrong take on him.

For the five people who watch Gotham, I'm sure this might be an issue. For the vast majority of moviewatchers, I doubt there will be a problem.

Casting was one thing Gotham seemed to get right for a lot of the characters, even if some of them weren't that well liked originally. But while I've enjoyed Gotham for the most part, there was plenty of bad along the way too that almost made me drop it in earlier seasons.

RUMOR: WISHLIST REVEALED FOR LEAD ROLE IN MATT REEVES’ ‘THE BATMAN’
https://thegww.com/rumor-wishlist-re...es-the-batman/
With a summer 2021 release date set, Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ is possibly starting the casting process.
The GWW has obtained a list of five names that are seemingly on a wishlist for the role of Bruce Wayne himself. Since we couldn’t get this confirmed, we’re labeling it a rumor for now, so take it with a big grain of salt.
Jack Reynor
Alexander Ludwig
Jack O’Connell
Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Nicholas Hoult
Reynor, who is 27 years old and stands at 6’0”, previously appeared in ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ and has a leading role in Ari Aster’s upcoming horror thriller ‘Midsommar.’
Ludwig, who stars in the History Channel’s ‘Vikings’, ‘The Hunger Games’, and the upcoming ‘Bad Boys For Life’, is 26 years old is 6’2”.
‘Godless’ actor Jack O’Connell is 28 years old and stands at 5’8”.
Taylor-Johnson (29, 5’11”) portrayed Quicksilver in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and started in both ‘Kick-Ass’ movies.
Hoult (29, 6’3”) can be seen as Beast in multiple ‘X-Men’ movies, including the upcoming ‘Dark Phoenix’, as well as a JRR Tolkien biopic due out later this year.
So, even though a few of these names have come up in the past, this list is narrowed down and a lot more specific. All five of these actors are very similar in age, height, and overall look for the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. However, it is unlikely that any of these people end up landing the role, as past precedent has shown it is unusual for the people on wish lists to ever end up working out. But, if it’s any consolation, this list helps to give an idea about what kind of actor either the studio or Reeves are seeking out.

I don’t care for any of those picks other than maybe Hoult. I think it would be hard to picture Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the part even though he’s a pretty good actor.

I'll still sticking with my choice of Gabriel Macht.
