Nevermind... I guess she isn't? I don't follow the "canon" comics.

I haven't read the new "canon" comics but Han Solo's previous wife was just a friend. They ran a job and pretended to be husband and wife. So Han has never really been married before and I'm sure will be chasing tail.
p.s. chewie doesn't have a tail

I saw Jack Reynor in a film called Sing Street last night. He was very good in the role (better than is bit in Transformers clearly). I don't think he'd be a terrible choice. But Taron Egerton is the clear choice, IMO. I've been watching interviews with him. The kid has charisma and charm, which is the key to the role.

After screens tests that narrowed down the field of possible actors portraying Han Solo for the stand-alone movie in the Star Wars universe, Alden Ehrenreich has emerged as the front-runner for the coveted role. The casting of this character has been shrouded in secrecy — to the point of it being referred to as project Red Cup (get it? Solo cups). After screen tests, it was narrowed down to only a handful of actors that included Taron Egerton and Jack Reynor. However, sources with knowledge of the casting process, said that Ehrenreich is now leading the pack after after an impressive performance.

I just hate the very idea of this particular project. I'm fine with a Boba Fett prequel, but when you have to recast a well known actor for the lead...... no... just no.

It just irks me that there are a THOUSAND different stories Disney could tell in the SW universe. The studio can create any number of new characters they want to and, with good writing, make them just as memorable as beloved ones. The possibilities are endless.
And yet, they think it's a great idea to make a prequel no one wants, recasting a role that worked because of the actor involved, and fill in fans on every last detail of how Han became who he is without ever considering it doesn't matter.

you know, i couldn't give a shit or two about Rogue One, right up until that first teaser hit. Now i'm all in.
They delivered on TFA, and looking to delivery on Rogue One. so I'll give Disney the benefit of the doubt on this solo Solo outing.

Stupid idea for a movie. Would much rather have a young Yoda movie or solo Obi-Wan movie or a bounty hunters movie or a Rogue Two with a different ragtag team made up of Bothans or a Maz Kanata movie or a KOTOR film or a Wedge Antilles movie, etc. etc. Anything else.

Well, it's certainly possible that Maz Kanata could be in the young Han Solo movie. We don't know if they had originally met before or after the OT, do we?

We already know that Jabba was about the same size in The Phantom Menace. I give him credit for maintaining his weight over 30 years. That should have been when we saw him smaller but it seems that all Hutts are that size so Jabba really isn't obese.

Still don't understand why people got hooked thinking that actor from Age of Adeline would be a good choice. I'm glad they went with Ehrenreich, hopefully he can pull it off and the story will be good.

Let that shit go. He's an imitator. He's not acting much in Age of Adaline. The guy they picked is a much better actor than that imitator you love to jerk for.

I am open minded to this. If Episode VIII rumors are true, then these stand alone films may be our only chance at good Star Wars movies
