Re: Favorite movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
I think Iron Man is decent but Avengers is great. I don't think it's close between 1 and 2 or 2 and whatever 3 is. The poll bears it out.

At this point:
CA: Winter Soldier
Frankly, Both CA and both Thor films have been the most enjoyable to me personally.

Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but what was so different from the origin story? I personally liked Hulk better than The Incredible Hulk, as the movie required too much on the previous movie existing for it to work.

"Incredible Hulk" is closer to the "Ultimate" origin, and has him intentionally injecting himself with a serum intended to re-create Captain America's Super Soldier serum.
Really the only similarities between the films is that TIH picks up with Bruce in South America, which is where Hulk left off. The film was actually originally written as a sequel, before it went through many re-writes and became a reboot. Not really sure why that soft connection to Hulk was left in.

Re: What is your Favorite Movie in Marvel's MCU
Favorite? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh. I have to say The Avengers. It's not the best one but goddamnit, man. It's a nerd fest for a Marvel fan. Also... A fucking team dynamic. Hulk being awesome. Cap and IM arguing. A Hulk vs. Thor fight. Hulk trying to pick up Mjolnir. As a fan it was overload of awesome.
The best one is Cap 2. Cuz holy fuck was that running on all cylinders in a way none of them have. Pacing was solid too.

Avengers since it was so much fun (and pretty novel for a superhero film), though Winter Soldier is the smartest film of the bunch.

I agree.
The Avengers had so much joy and fun, that it made me giddy.
It reminded me of the joy that Superman: the Movie had, which Man of Steel sorely lacked.

Since it's so fresh in mind, Cap 2 is the winner. But I still dearly love The Avengers.
Don't mean to derail the thread but, when/if I get the time, I've been thinking of putting together a Phase 1 "Complete chronological Cut". Obviously, it would take upon hours & hours to watch, but I know it would be a joy to see the re-telling of the MCU in a new way. Here's how the timeline would look:
So yeah, I'll see if I can rip all this into 1 file

Hulk takes place at the same time as Iron Man 2 & Thor....for the most part. The Consultant's after.

Also you'd need the prologue to Thor 2. Cuz if you're putting Agent Carter and a bit of IM3 in there. Thor 2's bit precedes it all.
