The only thing is that the holiday season is usually pretty loaded so it's going to have more competition. WB better hope that the character and Justice League are well received or it's kind of a gamble for a more mid tier character film in my opinion. At least in a more off month like October it wouldn't have much to face off with and if it did well it could sit on top potentially for a while.

I see this getting pushed back even farther to March/April 2019.

Warner is not going to have no DC movies in 2018 and production is set to begin late May (Wan has recently posted scouting location pics). Could Warner suddenly decide to scrap or delay it, but I don't see it happening esp if word that Momoa might be the highlight of JL.

Really the DC lineup beyond this year is weak as hell. The only films with firm release dates are this, Shazam (April 5th, 2019), Cyborg (April 3rd, 2020), and Green Lantern Corps (July 24th, 2020).
Personally I've got no interest in Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps I'm iffy on until we get more information. Never been the hugest Green Lantern fan as I feel like the characters and their abilities are kind of hokey and the first attempt showed that (yes it was bad anyways but the constructs in live action form I think are hard to pull off well). Shazam I have little interest in other than the fact that The Rock is in it and may elevate it to at least being entertaining. I feel like none of the announced films are going to set the box office on fire. Aquaman might be the best solo film coming soon aside from Wonder Woman.

I'm betting on they are waiting to see what kind of return WW gets. Aqua-Man has to be considered similar risk.

Seems like there's quite a few around here who want this to not happen. Personally, this could showcase a new direction post BvS.

Also, no doubt The Batman (with or without Affleck) will come out in 2019.

I don't see why they'd do a Teen Titans movie with Cyborg when he's already going to be in Justice League. That would kind of be a step backwards for the character in my opinion. I think the issues with the Batman and Flash films have kind of put a snag in the release schedule.
I would bet at this point with The Batman being rewritten there won't be any major work done until Reeves finishes up with War for the Planet of the Apes so probably not until at least mid July or August. It'll probably take at least a few months if not more to hammer out a script and then filming probably won't start until 2018 some time. It might be out by 2019 but it'll be tight or it might not be until later in the year.

Now, this is still based on a "source" close to the production so who the hell knows if it's a page one re-write or if they're going with, in some form, Affleck/Johns/Terrior's script.
But even a re-write, they can get a (July or later, November) 2019 date if production begins like March 2018. That's 8 months to get a script done and it'll have Reeves full attention.

WB is a business. if WW tanks, they'll change direction. The only reason they have not done so yet is because BvS and SS made money.

JL maybe (with Snyder at the helm, I question if he can make a "fun" movie), but WW was mostly filmed before BvS came out (and I wonder, no pun intended, if they added humor during the month or so post BvS). Also, from what I've read Snyder did have some influence on WW (though from reports last month, Geoff Johns was at the editing bay) where he's only going to be producer in name only on Aquaman (a la Tim Burton on Batman Forever).

Nicole Kidman explains why she's diving in for Aquaman
“The reason why I love [Aquaman] is James Wan is an Australian, and I’ve followed his career since he started. He’s a really good friend of mine, and he offered to let me play Queen Atlanna,” she says. “As soon as he said I could wear mother-of-pearl and be a mermaid warrior, I said I’m done. Please. If there is one thing I have to do in my life, I have to be that. [Laughs] Because, you’ve got to have some fun.”

I wonder if that's an elaborate April Fools gag.
Though she does seem well suited to those "Queen" roles.

Kidman is fine, only question I have is Kidman is 49, Patrick Wilson, I think playing her son is 43. I guess kind of like how the Amazonians are quasi-immortal, maybe the same applies for the Atlanteans? So Kidman will actually be centuries old? Or maybe she'll be his step-mother?

Momoa is playing the man who would be king of Atlantis.
Dolph Lundgren is making his return to studio movies by diving deep into the world of comic book films.
The veteran action star, whose credits range from Rocky IV to the recent Expendables movies, has joined Aquaman, Warner Bros.’ big-screen take on DC Comics’ underwater-breathing superhero.

Dolph has been pretty good as a Russian gangster on ARROW this season.
