For fans of the franchise NECA announced a line of figures. First wave is Marty and Biff from the first film and Marty from the second film. Plus they’re doing a DeLorean and figures from the cartoon. They’ve also shown Marty from the first film in the radiation suit.

Claudia was still the better looking Jennifer at the time. Unfortunate what happened to Claudia that she couldn't continue the franchise.

Elizabeth Shue was absolutely beautiful when the movies were made (and still is) so I’d argue that she was the better looking Jennifer. But the weird thing is that to keep continuity of the two Jennifers they had to do some weird stuff with Shue’s hairdo which took away some of her beauty in the movie. It’s like they felt they were stuck with that particular look and had to put Claudia Wells’ hairstyle on Elizabeth Shue which wasn’t very flattering to Shue.

I mean for continuity it made sense to keep her look the same. The sequel picks up right after the first film, and in the first film only a day has passed in 1985 time.

Makes me wonder if they thought they could get Claudia back in limited capacity (she quit to care for her sick mom), so they didn't give her part much to do.
