Well I mean that's how the series has played so far. You have a MacGuffin, Bourne goes after it, chaos ensues.

Filming Dates: 8 September 2015 - 1 February 2016
Release Date: July

That's gotta be a record for a Hollywood Summer flick Another director over 60 showing the young bucks how its done.

Yep, and with style, not the hack action we get from the Zack Snyder's or Michael Bay's. This looks good, I'm looking forward to this one.

Yeah, because Greengrass didn't introduce us to "shaky cam."
I'm a PG fan but let's not kid ourselves that he's without any faults.

I never saw Greenzone but thought his shaky cam is probably the only one worth a damn. His has an integral element that work while everyone else just uses it as style... lacking substance.

I thought it worked well for the story. Can't say as much for BvS and every Transformers movie.

I loved Green Zone but too bad no one else did. I remember the first time I saw shaky cam, it was one of the Bourne films, and I want to say it's the scene with Joan Allen and David Straithirn sitting at the restaurant and he orders food and she wonders why she's there. I was like why the fuck is the camera shaking?

Granted, he had already been doing it since Supremacy but still. Two people at a fucking table should not be shaking. I don't care how urgent it is.

I admire how Greengrass didn't come into this franchise until the second installment, but has more or less made it his franchise.

I will see this movie, but darn it they better play "Extreme Ways" over the credits or it just won't feel right.

I actually love Bourne Identity, and am lukewarm on Supremacy and Ultimatum. Still, I do want to see this.

So, I was the only one who liked Legacy, huh?

I'm here for Damon though, let's do this.

I rented "Legacy" a few weeks ago to give it a second look, and the first hour-and-half I thought "This is better than I remembered", but then it just seemed to go on and on, if you know what I mean.

I'll definitely see the new one, but watching the trailers and ads the only plot I'm getting is "I remember it all" and then Matt tears some stuff up, and then someone says "So what if you remember" and Matt tears some more stuff up.

I think the sci-fi nerd in me loved the explanation of how these soldiers got to be so awesome. Plus, I'm a Renner and Norton fan. Obviously, I'm in the minority.

Matt is always tearing stuff up. He used to be, "I'm trying to figure out who I am." and tearing stuff up then, "I got a bit of information." then tearing more stuff up. I honestly don't remember the specifics of any of the Bourne movies outside of his girlfriend getting killed. But, I always have trouble with spy movies like that, even the simplest ones I can never recall the finer points.

Ultimatum is my favorite. Never saw the Renner film - might check it out. Bourne Identity was great. Supremacy was actually kind of lame but had it's moments. This new one looks great, love the hard edge they're giving to Damon - I mean, yeah his character has always been bad ass but now they're throwing some grit and dirt on him.

I'm a bit surprised not a single review is out despite the movie being released in 4 days...hope that isn't any sign that it's a dud.

Still looking forward to it and will catch it at some point this weekend.

This has to be one of the quickest turnarounds for filming a summer blockbuster movie and getting it ready for theatres.

They started shooting this last Fall and they wrapped principal photography in late February/early March. 4 1/2 months to do post production and get this into theatres seems really fast.

I see Rich made a similar comment about 3 months ago.

Screenings start tonight, so hopefully they're allowed to post reviews right away. Otherwise, yeah...very puzzling. I don't really feel a ton of hype about this film for some reason... haven't been watching a lot of TV lately, maybe they've been advertising the hell out of it...not sure.

If memory serves, "Lethal Weapon 4" started principal photography in January of 1998 and was released in July.

Early reviews are in and they're middling...only a few, so no real consensus yet.

This is from CraveOnline, which I thought was funny (but hopefully not true):

"Jason Bourne is like SPECTRE without any of the good parts. And if you're saying to yourself, "SPECTRE has good parts?" then let me assure you, compared to Jason Bourne it does."

Reading two or three reviews this morning, some are saying it's okay to good Bourne until it becomes the Fast and Furious...

The complaints are why I liked Bourne Identity substantially more than Ultimatum and Supremacy, but I'm kind of surprised they're calling that out now since the last two entries followed more or less the same path.

Sounded like they were being snarky in hopes of getting a pull-quote for bad reviews.

This is better than Spectre.

Spoiler:

I don't like the version they play in this one, but obviously they play the song.
