Just watched the feature and it was good on its own merit. I think Tessa Thompson is hot and will kill it as Valkyrie in Ragnarok -- I knew she looked familiar -- she was also in Westworld.
Now if I had to pick -- I would say that the series is better, but that's due to it being 10 episodes. I read that the original script to DWP was 200+ pages, so I can see how the series can work better than the standard just-under-two-hour film. Still, DWP is a damn good flick.
I would suggest watching the film and then the series.

I had a $3 credit and used it on this via VUDU, so it came out to $1.99 and it has special features.
